currently about to start working on my 2002 cabrio (NA) had it for about 4 years, but as a student not much time to do proper work etc. had a 1991 for my first car my father gave me, loved it and how he built it (sold in 2019) so watching this video has given me drive to get into working on it!! limited experience working on cars so wish me luck haha

Good luck! To be honest I have very little mechanical know how as I only really know how to make them look good, not go well 😀 However I’m learning and happy to share whatever I learn with you along the way. I’ll be asking for help regularly I promise you. Anyway, enjoy your car and the process and just think how great it will feel to get it out on the road knowing you made it happen. How would you clean the alloys?

Just normal non acidic alloy cleaner of choice. Garage Therapy wheel shampoo in my case. These ones do need a refurb as my wife attacked them with an acid cleaner many years ago and they’re etched but that will have to wait until budget allows I’m afraid

@@thegolfdiaries1123 im struggling to find someone to refurbish mine as the likes of the "wheel specialist" etc dont know how to finish them and get the shine etc
