If they last as long as Logitechs G29s etc... They'd be a safe bet. The heel plate being plastic for myself is a non issue as you will scratch most if not all heel plates if your grinding a stone into it with your heel, that and the old G29 pedal sets are plastic and I can't ever remember it coming up as an issue before. If does bother some folks just cover it with something. Good Review. Stiffening up the brake pedal was a great point and easy to do if you replace the soft foam with a firmer one.

Cut the remaining elastomer spacer to size and replace the weak polymer one and that should stiffen the initial take up. You can also add washers in the stack as a preload adjustment. This will make it more difficult to reposition the stack into the base though.

To me this seems like the next logical step up from my g923. I picked it up last October and have enjoyed it very much, I would have gone with a t300rs but availability at the time was bad and not to mention they came with terrible pedals right off the bat compared to the 923. Pretty cool they are working on a adapter for the pedals as well and once my warranty expires I'll jump onto the wheel as well

@@Pluto-ud5ss I agree, it is a bit too steep especially for the material build but I would say Logitech can maybe produce them at a higher rate than fanatec and Moza can. This I think will also go down in price later down the line when I might be ready. It also adds competition for the Direct Drive market which is great. Only time will tell. I am quite happy with my G923 at the moment

Update: the quality is really good. I'm still adjusting to it. The stock accelerator pedal spring is about as strong as the G29's brake pedal. Switched to the lightest spring and it feels great.

Be great to see a pleb like me get sent a wheel and pedals to compare it to a 923 that l have. Never used anything but logitech gear for my racing and have always loved the durability and ease of use. Really happy logitech have bought out another quality wheel. Looking forward to trying it.

Will, seems that the main thing you do not like is the soft brake. If one would use a rigid aftermarket mod instead of the soft pieces in the brake making it stiffer, would it make it comparable to Fanatec CSL elite v2, or are there some other major considerations I am missing right now?

To be fair, i traded the r5 bundle for this pro setup. These pedals dunk all over the moza srp (upgraded from lite) ones imho after using both for a bit. The moza setup was still fantastic; doing it over id skip r5 and just make my own bundle with r12, crp pedals and formula wheel. Im just a logitech lifer, and i have zero regrets getting the pro setup. I just regret getting into this rabbit hole😅

I just got mine and discovered that if you place the brake pedal all the way to the left (in the same position as the clutch initially) then the cord is not long enough to connect. I wonder if I can take the elastomer brake cylinder and move it to the clutch and then plug the clutch cord into the brake port. I’m surprised that Logitech made the brake cord so short.

I,m playing with my pedals on the carpet and my steering clamped to a wooden tv tray… when the racing gets heated I’m having to reposition the peddles with my feet as it turns sideways and I find myself steering with the dinner tray in the air swinging under the wheel…haha just bought some 2” square tubing and a cheap racing seat off of Amazon so upgrading !! 😂

Instead of a vinyl wrap, I'd just grab some automotive carpeting, cut it to shape, and glue it to the pedal base where my feet rest. Personally this works for me since I'm more used to street cars and often drive street cars in sims, so would get some immersion points there haha

The base has 4 usb ports as well and also has a quick release. This means there is coming more. Why would Logitech implement a decent quick release system without posibility to change the wheel. Doesn’t make sense, right? Same goes for shifter and handbrake.

great review. I am very tempted to buy this with the wheel. But I miss the how to mount the pedals on a rig. I have a PLAYSEAT using Fanatec CSL Elite (gen1) but I can figure how I would those on my PLAYSETA pedals plate. On the fanatec there are threads underneath the pedals that I am using with cut-off on the rig pedals plate. I cant see such Option on the Logitech when pedals are all assembled to the plate. Sorry if that's sounds dumb but how do you achieve this mounting?

Really really missed a direct comparison to the CSL Elite V2, specially considering the issue with the initial brake uptake. Ease of use was clear enough for those looking to swap the elastometers in and out, but I'd appreciate a head on comparison between the two

This comparison was made in the video. Logitech is more versatile with more adjustment range and can be used on the floor without being hard mounted if necessary. CSL Elite V2 is stiffer and arguably more authentic feeling. I personally prefer the CSL Elite V2 pedals as they suit my driving style better.

The clutch and heel toe downshifting really needs to be showcased in these reviews. That is huge and nobody seems to show it. Some pedals work well for it and others not. just playing with the throttle and brake....you can buy the cheapest pedals and do fine.

Withdrew my comment on the price as i got the full bundle for a good price delivered free total £1212.48p and it's a very premium bundle the pedals are loadcell and you do get some spare bits to adjust the pedals with 3 spare USB sockets i am sure more is planned for the G Pro Base the price is in par with the Fanatec DD Pro whole bundle if you include desk clamp too and 3 pedal set and remember this is 11nm not 8nm,new F1 wheel is planned i bet?

Can any of you tell me whether or not the softest brake adjustment for the G Pro pedal would give me a similar amount of resistance on par with the "soft first half" of the G29 brake pedal, before you reach that very stiff rubber block? I plan to use this wheel and pedal set on my desk

There are six rubber inserts to customize exactly how stiff you like the pedal. It feels progressive, not at all like the rubber stopper in the G29 pedals. Unscrew those pedals and take that rubber stopper out. The pro pedals aren't magic, there is no feedback like a real car, but they are miles better than the G29 pedals.

The pedals are universal since you have to plug them into the base in order to use them on a console. So yes, you can use them on PS5.

Had mine for a couple of months and they're great .Took quite a bit of adjusting and trying out different hardness of the elastomers but after a week or I was totally used to them and love em.Also dont forget you get feedback thru the pedals as well as the wheel which most ppl have no idea the pedals have true force too

The pedals do not have true force. You're feeling the vibration only because the wheel base vibrates and this vibration if strong enough can shake the whole rig.

Hey will. I think the travel measurement does make sense when you think about it. Because if you set it to the stiffest setting it’s going to travel less then what it would if it was set to the softest setting. (Provided the loadcell setting doesn’t change). Yes it will take more force to reach the same about if travel, but there is a limit to how much it will compress the elastomers.

As long as there isn't any flex in the pedal plate I don't see an issue with it being plastic..
