I'm not sure if you're aware that because the chassis/stock is modular it is interchangeable w/the x-ray buttstock,so you don't need to sell the bravo to get an x-ray,just buy the x-ray buttstock & install it. They have a shit ton of accessory/upgrades on their website. Check it out,they have some badass shit

The nice thing is it is completely modular so you can upgrade down the road. I have 2 of the X-ray chassis one right hand and one left, i was able to make a fde lefty chassis out of my right handed model which is the only way you can get one. In the future i plan on upgrading the back of the stock to the whisky version.

@@Mex_the_Fox Haven't been able to produce better accuracy at all. Possibly my shooting, though I have had multiple shooters on this rifle in it's stock config. @Tyr1001 Жыл бұрын
@@marw1920 because reality is different from your opinion in this case. ultralight builds, while not going to have the same stunning accuracy of a bench rifle, are going to be more than accurate enough for most purposes. i was personally looking for one i could pack on my motorcycle for camping/backpacking, and if you've done much of that youd know ounces turn into pounds quick. not to mention with modern materials its not difficult at all to get a light weight and rigid chassis. It's just for a different purpose than bench shooting or hunting out of a trailer

I am thinking of getting one of these for my Tikka CTR Stainless in 6.5 Creedmoor. The thing already averages under 0.5 MOA for 5-shot groups with pretty much every bullet I've tried in it though, so I'm not sure if it's worth it. I shot it last weekend and even with a heavy winter coat at -4 F I averaged 0.44 MOA for 5-shot groups with Hornady 140 gr ELD-Ms. Anyway, it's hard to know if it will improve how it shoots.
@ADudeAndSomeGuns11 ай бұрын
The bravo will enhance your fit to the rifle, more so than increase accuracy. The Tikka is already very accurate. But the chassis will give you customization of the gun to you. More comfortable and more repeatable, which will lend to you being more accurate with that setup

Would the ergos be reasonable for shooting free handed? I’m looking at building a howa .308 to dip my toes in the water of long range shooting but would like it to double as a deer rifle as well. I like the options that run AR parts for that but I’m worried about pistol grips snagging on stuff plus they’re more expensive once they’re set up. Not sure if I should go with this or something similar or just pick up a pillar bedded stock from Boyd’s.

I think this could work for a hunting setup for sure, but I’d also check out Grayboe stocks as well. They’re a bit lighter and will fit that bill as well

Adding the things you want to the chassis will price it over the XRS upfront cost and the XRS needs nothing. That split front/rear is a poor design with one screw holding the back half on and taking the recoil. I would personally spend the extra money on the XRS which I have done. The Bravo looks nice but I can’t get past the two piece body and having to buy a spigot to extend the forend length and then it’s not on the same plane as the forend itself. It’s all personal choice and I’m sure many will enjoy the KRG lineup

If say that MDT improved upon the hybrid chassis. Regardless, a chassis/stock upgrade is one of the few instant accuracy upgrades for a budget bolt gun. I went from a boring and seldom shot Ruger American Ranch in 300 Blackout to near total modification and upgrade that I shoot 2-3 times a month and can't put down. • Wilson Combat 16" 300 HAM'R barrel • Primary Arms ACSS 1-6X Gen III 300Blk LVPO Primary Arms low ring • Silencerco Omega 9k suppressor • Timney trigger = avg 2lb. Test average w/5 pulls w/a Lyman trigger guage • MDT XRS FDE chassis • Anarchy Outdoors black bolt handle and long knob

If you don't insist on the "chassis" format, the Bell & Carlson stocks are fantastic - more of a Classic Hunter look. They make one for the Howa, they look great, and they are a fantastic quality product with an aluminum bedding block and fiberglass body. Highly recommend. And if you glass bed the recoil lug, you can easily get 1/2 MOA out of your rifle.

Ive got a a BC alum bed block. Im 1/2 MOA at 10 rounds 308. Federal fusion ammo 180. I couldn’t believe it. I decided not even to develop a load. Just running the same ammo.

You stole my comment. The B&C stock has an internal chassis and is solid. No plastic, super hard wearing. I still recommend devcon for bedding the lug.
