The entire Ryan Zimmerman number retirement ceremony from where I was sitting (Section 118)

I don't think words can describe how much Ryan Zimmerman means to me, this region, the city of DC, and every Nationals fan. I remember being a little kid going to games and he was the only good player on the team. But it's fitting that the first-ever draft pick for the Washington Nationals holds nearly every team record, played every season for the Nats, hit a fitting number of 11 walk-off home runs, the first playoff home run for the team, the first world series home run in franchise history, and of course, winning the first World Series in franchise history.
Even though the Nats have been terrible this year, and they didn't even win today, getting to see this monumental and historic moment take place made the day more than worth it. We all knew Zim would get this, and it was amazing for it to finally happen.
Thank you Ryan Zimmerman, employee #11
- A kid from Virginia who you helped inspire for the past 17 years.
