Full Screen Apple CarPlay on F87 M2 Competition (feat. Bimmer Remote Coding)

If you're an owner of a BMW with iDrive pre-7.0, you're probably just as annoyed as I am with Apple CarPlay being split screened. CarPlay only uses 60% of the screen and it feels like you bought a 70" TV only for it to act like a 40". This super simple, quick, and remote coding update through Bimmer Remote Coding completely resolves that huge pet peeve.

I too have an M2 Comp with the same issue and reached out to Kubax 86. However, I was able to use a USB stick as it depends on the iDrive version and not what car you have (4 mins 27 sec). My version started with the letter O and was compatible with the USB method of transfer. Thank you so much for the upload and subsequent recommendation of Bimmer Remote Coding. It's disappointing that BMW will not update your iDrive software regardless of a payment offer and even more disappointing to see Apple Car Play both Fullscreen and 'STANDARD' in recent models.

Hello again, do you know if this would be possible by using the MHD universal adapter instead of a cable ?

I doubt this will work through the mhd adapter, but I recommend dm’ing kubax86 through bimmerpost to confirm

@STICKSHFT I'm assuming you're referring to bluetooth connectivity with your phone. If so, no issues at all. No lag or loss of connection that I've seen.
