This is great !! America needs a whole lot more affordable homes like this !!
@RavenStorm3325 ай бұрын
some states literally make these illegal because they're "too small" though some states have loopholes where if it's on a trailer then it counts as a mobile home

1300 a month? Should be more like 500.

These are just homes. 70 years ago, a lot of houses were 700 to 900 sq ft

Shotgun houses

Exactly. When people compare the cost of today's "average home" price to the average home price of homes in the 50s they forget that average today is not the same as average then. This is the size of homes sold in the 50s with no garage and today those sell for 600k in Los Angeles.

Tax assessors will look at these homes and justify a massive mark up on the taxes on regular sized homes. The tiny houses become the "new normal" and the average citizen loses more and more.
@eattherich92158 ай бұрын
They look like glorified sheds. Make them 1,000 sq ft and you have something that a lot more people could get behind.

People making the prices have lost their minds everywhere

As a tiny home designer and launching Gilmore Homes-Gilmore Loans’ Modern Homes at 599sf, at $100,000 in Los Angeles and Atlanta soon, the builder/owner should have made the exterior more appealing. Whatever architect designed these need to lose his license. This is atrocious 🏠👀.

Tiny homes are great for one or two people but if you have a lot of stuff then even living in a tiny home is cramped and unlivable. Downsizing before you move to a tiny home is the only way to go.

They sure are nice. Hope to build a tiny home on my property soon.

I call these detached apartments lol! These cost the builder max $30k a pop and builder is selling for 169 lololol
@diegolara42024 ай бұрын
What about the cost of the infrastructure. The new neighborhood streets, lights etc. The Land and the cost to work the land so it's ready to be built on. The labor alone is more than 30k per house. What you think something should be worth doesn't matter.

Detached apartments is a good way to put it. My 1 bedroom apartment is 750 sq. ft. whereas the home in this video is 660. She's right when she says it's not for everybody. I couldn't do it.

Yeah! As I get older, who wants to keep a regular big house?

I have land in bullock county Georgia and they made a law to stop tiny homes even on your own land. I’m in shock that they can actually tell u what u can have on your own land. Sick world.
@eattherich92158 ай бұрын
The county can't gouge those tiny homes with property taxes.
@23Kite8 ай бұрын
@@eattherich9215 Wrong, they'll use them to gouge older bigger homes as these are the new "normal"
@sew_gal73408 ай бұрын
I love tiny homes, but this looks like the beginning of something very bad...i can imagine tiny homes being normalized, regular homes being even more unattainable. Tiny homes will also lead to tiny apartments, then tiny cages like in hong kong...it is a slippery slope.

What about the longevity of these tiny homes? What happens with hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, or normal thunderstorms, especially down in Texas. We've all seen what a tornado can do to a normal-sized home.
@diegolara42028 ай бұрын
A tornado doesn't care how big or small your house is. If you have seen what they can do to a larger home then that's the same thing it will do with these smaller homes.

"They no longer build started homes, that's why people cant afford homes!, build smaller homes like in the 50s!" Same pepple "these arent homes these are sheds! We dont want to live in homes this size!". When these were the size of starter homes in the 50s. I've come to realize that complaming is popular now in day.

Should go off-grid and connect to solar panels (save on cost of living)
@eattherich92158 ай бұрын
Solar panels are very expensive and take years to recover the cost of installation. Further if the wrong type is installed, it might have to be replaced before the lifespan has expired.
