Honestly I struggle with this. It’s so easy for people online to say “cut them off” bc we aren’t living it, but realistically, the parents are probably getting old, and I don’t think at least trying to mend a relationship before they go is the absolute worst idea. It depends on the person and how deep the emotional trauma actually goes, we never know those extents just through text, but it is closure that she should be able to consider if she wants to. She’s an adult, she knows them, so she knows what to look out for better than we do.
