Would be nice to see you eat couple meals without focusing on how nice it looks or the taste so much. Like just watch you eat a hearty meal because it’s normal, and not centered around it being a perfect meal, if that makes sense. I have this issue with wanting my meals to be ‘worth it’ and if it’s not worth it or I can’t watch a good show/video then I can’t eat it or I feel guilty that I’ve wasted a meal. I worry you might fall into that habit, with only eating meals that look good and setting them out. Like do you really need a plate for a brunch bar? It’s just kind of coming across as an obsession to have the best food ever and not eating because you should be... you’re doing so well but you should do a day where you just let your mum pick a simple hearty meal and let her serve it how ever she wants and you just eat it without making a fuss over how it looks and tastes...
@soilgrasswaterair5 жыл бұрын
jacintalovesart it’s a process, and what you speak of will come, but to stress it isn’t really worth it because the focus right now should be what she is doing which is to allow herself to eat. Not sure why it is when people see progress they want to see basically healthy eating patterns to make themselves feel better about how someone else is eating in their recovery. She will do those things but psychologically is not there yet because she is still at the stage (not at the initial stage anymore) where she is still allowing herself to eat. Not sure if you remember the video she made about a year ago in which she spoke of how she had to start recovery for real his time or else she would die. Keep that in mind the next time you feel tempted to rush her or anyone else due to your own comfort level around how other people approach their narrative around food and how they plate it. Seriously, how the food is plated is the least of the dilemma at the moment and why you focus so much on it is something you should think about, what does it serve you personally to express this in hope of getting her to change? Because the reality is that it’s not for her sake it’s for you. Trust her capability of managing and that ger family is giving her support, and as a stranger, for any of us strangers it is not for us to act like we’re part of her recovery and get to have a say how it is done, because in recovery people don’t need a bunch of outsiders telling them what they should do based on what they want to see.
@GracieLions4 жыл бұрын
I think she's just practicing Cognitive Behaviour Therapy on herself when she's eating, retraining her mind to think positively about what she's letting into her body. Let her go as slowly as she needs to....the point is she doing it. X

its so great to see you eating lots of different fruits! I remember when they scared you. And it was also important for you to show the struggle after you at the rice pudding that you 'didn't really like'... I know you know it, but I just want to remind you that it's ok if not every meal or snack is amazing or divine, sometimes food is fuel and is just helping to facilitate your recovery. Id love to see you challenge yourself to eat double what your mum eats for a day

I'm in the USA so not familiar with Clarence eggs. Chickens raised on a farm, that are allowed grass, bugs, etc and live as a chicken should, have rich orange yolks though. Maybe Clarence feeds their chickens good things, and lots of sunshine in the chicken's life. Most store bought eggs here are very pale yellow. Farm eggs have so much flavor as well! If you ever get the chance to buy some from a farmer, please do!

They taste slightly richer than chicken eggs and are slightly higher in protein..I actually prefer them over chicken eggs now. Generally it takes around 4 quail eggs to equal a single chicken egg so it does take a few to get a good meal out of them but well worth it. :) Much love from Tasmania, Australia.

The yolk is SO red/orange? I can't tell. I thought it was a slice of cherry tomato or something and when you zoomed in I realised that it was the yolk...Wth does Clarence Court do with their chickens???
@ohwellwhateverr5 жыл бұрын
It's to do with the hens' diets. Wheat and barley-based diets produce paler yolks, and cheap quality chicken feed used in factory farms produces the palest yellow yolks. Dark orange yolks come from orange pigments in plants called xanthophylls, and they get this being pasture-raised and given free range to forage themselves. Basically, the darker the yolk, the healthier the chicken (and therefore the healthier the egg). So the real question is, what is every other farm doing with their chickens...
@shanasakaii7965 жыл бұрын
