What torque did you use? Bistein recommendations or Saab original recommendation?

How is the handling after? I have 2007 V6 with lowering springs but original shocks with 123,000 miles on them. Steering is very wobbly now so going to replace suspension with Bilstein B8 shocks.

Awesome that you'll be getting the B8s as well, and V6... nice! I've heard that lowering springs on standard shocks cause a fair bit of the wobble you describe, that should definitely be fixed after upgrading. Comfort is good. Bumps are handled way better - the saggy back and bouncy post-bump behavior is completely gone. The car 'returns to normal' way faster with the new springs. But: bad roads are more noticeable. It's not bouncy or uncomfortable by any means, but it's definitely sportier. I can imagine some people feel it makes the car too rigid. For the driver, it's amazing - the car drives a lot better / more precise - and when I ask passengers there are no complaints. I combined it with a strut brace that helps a bit as well. Good luck with the upgrade!

Hello! What did you feel after that upgrade? I put the Eibach pro kit in the last month in my Mercedes 220d s205 and I felt some improvement, but in curves I still don't feel safe. The shocks i have are the oem bilsten b4 (DampMatic). And my question is If I add the Bilsten B8 my problem disappears? Thank you

Hey, sorry, late response! If it still helps: I can only vouch for behaviour/effect on the SAAB but I think it’s safe to assume Bilstein b4/b6/b8 shares characteristics / intended use case across car models. The b4 (non-sport) is a spring that’s marketed as direct replacement, for non-lowered cars, aiming at comfort. Combining that with lowering springs means that you’re driving around with, basically, shocks that are slightly more compressed than intended. This creates a bit of a waterbed like ride. I’ve seen other people report the same behaviour of the car - a bit too bouncy, not inspiring a lot of confidence. Not sure about dampmatic, but in general, b4 is stock, b4 sport is lower stock, b6 is sportier stock, b8 is sportier lowered. So even though it makes the ride a fair bit harsher, b8 plus eibach (marketed by bilstein as the bilstein b12 kit) is the recommended configuration.

Hey hoe voelt deze ophanging? Niet hard?

Hey Tijmen :) het valt me heel erg mee.
