Your KTM has a really nice sound. Thanks for doing this.

Your rear tire is mounted backwards! Fix it and let us know how much better it is!

Excellent, I just ordered these for my GS and I can't wait to hit the highway to get to those BC forest service roads and trails.

Wonderful video! Very helpful. I will get mine in 3 weeks. My motorcycle is currently in California at Rotweiller’s HQ, being built by Chris Parker & Team. Your videos helped me to decide towards KTM vs. R1250GS. Please keep up the good work!

I loved this tire, and most;y used it off-road on a Tiger 900 RP. The rear only got 2,500 miles though which was a bit disappointing.

Very interesting the comparative. With the TKC80 I usually do about 4000 km, does the same thing happen to you? With your comparison, I understand that the Anake could last a little longer and the grip on the road is better? thanks

@Gas-o-Loon which model of Pirelli Scorpion were OEM in your market? They look like a better balance for my particular needs based on your comparison chart.

Would love to know your thoughts for going with 1290r vs 1090r or even 1190r. Keep up the videos!

Very helpful review, thanks. I’m about to change from K60 Scouts, so I’m after something more offroad. Can you get Motoz Tractionator in Sweden? They have good reviews in the US but I’m not sure if they’re available in the EU.

adventure-spec in UK are stocking Motoz. Plan to test them as well on my 1190R after almost 20k with K60. Less durable but for sure much more aggresive especially the front. They now have 3 options all 3 looking super interesting and at pretty good prices.

Am I the only one that squeezed 12.000km (7,500 miles) out of a rear TKC80 on a 1090R?!? I did 80% road/20% FSRs and I still have 10-15% tread left. Am I riding like a granny...lol?

Can‘t agree with your review. The rear last equal than the TKC80 (3.000km on my 800GS, I guess they‘d last only 2-2.500km for me on a 1290R). Anakee Wild are less stable on Tarmac and louder than TKC80s. Between these two I prefer the TKC80 by far. However, now I have a MotoZ Tractionator Adventure mounted and these are different beasts offroad (a lot more traction and especially sidestability in turns on mud / loose stuff). They have 15mm tread depth over 10mm on TKC 80 / Anakee Wild. Onroad their behaviour is not as good as TKC80s but acceptable for a knobbie (front feels a bit stubborn but they have excellent grip, even on wet tarmac due to a soft compound). Can‘t yet talk about wear, only got 1.500km on them but guess they will have a similar, maybe slightly longer wear than TKC80. Tread is down to 10mm on the rear but not sure if the wear will be even when the knobbies get shorter or it slows down.

I concur, for me tkc80 are really knobby road tyres :) BTW they have pretty soft sidewalls.

I had Anakee wilds on my 2014 GSA and agree with you, on tarmac at speeds above 130kph the front end was scary and very prone to speed wobbles!! no more noisy than any other ADV tyre. However, off road they are probably the best tyres Ive used.
