It is surprisingly common occurrence, that hitting something mechanical or electro mechanical - in JUST the right way - can correct a malfunction. I call it "the whack". It is quite funny, for those old enough to remember Happy Days tv show, that Fonzi giving "the whack" to the juke box, was not actually a fiction! Good to see "the whack" being successfully applied to the starter motor in this video.

maaaatee!! Gonna be a weapon once all the kinks are sorted out, sounds great on the water, one thing I keep thinking to tell you is to try a bigger prop or slightly more aggressive pitched prop, that thing has to be making around 500hp at the prop and stock engine would have been no where near half of that, you will notice a huge difference in torque and top speed aswell as driveability with the correct size prop, dont want to tell you how to do anything 😅 just something to consider!
@BobbyMcBoost2 жыл бұрын
I love all info mate, always things to learn! I do have another prop with more pitch that will go on. It's not lacking power down in the rpm as it is so could put her on already. The old motor setup was a 390 big block 👍👍

How’s the bush on the rudder mate? If there’s a bit of slop in the bush on the rudder shaft the steering will wander when you’re into it. Depends on the rudder shape too as to how twitchy it’ll be. Mine gets a bit twitchy at around 80mph. I’m also running a stock NA toothpick rod motor (s2 territory) in mine with only valve springs done. 14psi 6700rpm, loves life lol I think maybe the water is easier on them 🤷🏻♂️
