If you asked me, it doesn't need to be a bad thing to modify a "cheap" looking car using an engine that's not from Daihatsu. The Daihatsu Charade body is personally my favourite choice that's cheap and easy to find. Sure I love car shapes such as Mazda but with my budget I'd have be practical. Plus, it's like personalizing my car with limited budget, just not in the outward sense.

+Bien Crafts nothing wrong with your comment, but why change that glorious 3cyl turbo with an, admittatly; gloryous v-tec unit? Don't get me wrong, i like revving (rx-8 owner, btw) but there is something magic about that 3 zylinder turbo sound. it was downsizing, 25 years before everybody else did it, and fuel efficiency was just a side effect, power to weight ratio was what they went for, and power to weight ratio they got. I'm about to buy one. anybody got a fitting lsd?

how in fact did he get the engine in there? lik witch axles, motor mounts, and what did he do about the wiring? im really interested in these cars and im a honda technician by trade so i think it would be a cool project

No cb80 then it's definitely not a Gtti . Shame the Honda engines sound so terrible. Great in a dc5 integra not right in a Gtti. Ut each to their own.

fuqn love the car but i have to say the throttle body is kind of a waste on a na the throttle bodys will help you out when boostn or supercharged invest in a book called extreme b series they cover every setup you can think of on proven dyno sheets compare an contrast
