I bought gladiolus last year. They never bloomed, probably bcuz i tried to grow them in a pot. So last fall i through them in the ground. They bloomed this year so beautifully. I'm obsessed. Mine are pink with a purple stamine.

I ordered several varieties 2 yrs ago. You and Danielle at Northlawn flower farm reminded me how wonderful glads are. Funny thing tho, they all came up backwards, every single one bloomed facing the fence. I grew Conca Verde this yr, I found that it finished blooming much faster than other varieties. Unless mine is just similar.?

I'm not sure if I'm going to dig them this year, but will definitely make a video if I do. They can be stored, similarly ro dahlias, over winter. More seed starting videos soon! 🌱🌱🌱

Your glads are so pretty. Those that I grow have been affected by thrip damage. Do you have any suggestions?

I always have to dip mine before planting. It seems to really help. I still do get some damage, though. 🌱🌱🌱

You can put up netting to hold them up. I have 200 glad planted and I need to get the netting set up!

This year I planted them like tulips (egg carton style I think) but they really needed more support so next year I'll try something else.
