I appreciate what you're sharing but I'm always curious about the details: How did you get it permitted? How do you handle the bathroom? How was the base deck built? How do you keep it cool in the summer? Things like that. Also, I'm pretty sure that stove is oversized. A smaller one would be better for not overheating the yurt, especially if you have 8 people in it.

@th.88684 жыл бұрын
My most important question first - How to you determine where you want to put spaces like this that are "off the grid" and if they will be profitable? I mean airdna might not be that helpful if there are only a handful of other places in the middle of the desert,etc. Did you also buy the land/lot that this yurt sits on/I assume so? I would think during the summer/warmer months people may not want to stay in a hot deserted area w/ no AC, so how is this performing during the hotter months?

Nice setup ty for showing. I'm planning on 24/7 camping around snow and rain. I'll be storing about a months+ of dry food(rice, flower, noodles, cereal, oat's) in a tint/tarp shelter or in a bear prof in tree's. So my questions is what do you store your dry food in ? I cant decide between re usable zip lock bags or Maison jar's. On one hand 10+ Maison jars add up in lb's. But I don't know how vacuum/air tight the best zip lock bags("rezip") are.

Hi _ I really enjoyed the tour of your space. I've started to think about building my own yurt as well. Can you recommend tips for finding the right property build on? Were you able to easily find workers to put the yurt together on site? Did you have to pour or build a foundation to to place the yurt on? @Robuilt4 жыл бұрын
No, you couldn't really do this in Joshua Tree-legally anyway. Those who do are usually skirting the ordinances out there. Overall, I'd recommend going the national park route though! And no, I don't think you can do this with a construction loan sadly. There wouldn't be enough tangible or liquid assets for a bank to seize.
