I usually would agree that I love a light kitchen but I have to say, I love this kitchen as is. Maybe your furniture and accessories being light could play well with the kitchen as is. I even like the handles.

I love all the grey, it’s not a cold grey, more a taupe and I think if you add in plenty of wood tones and neutrals it will be a beautiful backdrop for your art and other projects.

Oh my gosh, that space is SO gorgeous! I was guessing it was some sort of balcony entrance because of the peep-hole, but when you opened the door to a GARAGE I literally gasped! I watched your road trip from Chi to SoCal. This is a most fantastic townhome - so spacious and great lighting. I was thinking balcony, but the garage is nice to be able to set up a work shop AND you get to design as you please! That's highly unusual. So ... My question is, what prompted the move? Exciting to have a brand new place that gives you what you need! Quick tip: narrow stack-able plastic drawer units work well under the vanity sinks. Our house (built 1992) has no overhead lights in the bedrooms, either. We've managed with lamps and plug-in wall sconces. Have fun planning your remodels- can't wait to see how you transform your new space.

I think a blue/green color would be awesome. You’re in CALIFORNIA so do some lighter colors but not pastel. 😊I’m really happy for you two. The new adventure will be fun! I love that when you do your DIY‘s in your home improvements in your houses, you do things that are reasonable and affordable for your viewers. So many of the other KZbinrs that I follow have bought these big homes that are totally out of anybody else’s price range and then they buy these very expensive antiques that most viewers can’t afford. So I love that you’re doing what you’re doing so keep up the great work.

Moving is hard, but I am so excited for more rental friendly makeover diys. A counter depth fridge! I hate how deep refrigerators are! You lose stuff for years! I wanted a counter depth fridge next. The door bathroom set up in the bedroom is a little weird. I’m interested in how you’ll deal with that.

When my husband and I got married ( on the east coast), he ended up taking a job in the Bay Area in California. His new company offered to ship one of our cars and said we could take our time crossing the country in our other car on their dime!! We had such an amazing time seeing so many beautiful sites. On a side note, I was told I could not have children.... but by the time we arrived at our home in California, I was expecting a baby! So, we assume the relaxing, enjoyable cross country trip brought some magic into our lives!!!

Oh gosh guys, this new condo that you got in LA is so incredible and very spacious. I am so excited to see all of the DIYs that you both will be doing. I did like a lot of the furniture that you had in the house you are selling because it was a lot of DIYs that you are so great at doing, if you could take some of that furniture back with you to the new place I would for sure do that. So interesting to see what "empty" apartments look like in different areas. German "empty" apartments don't have a kitchen or anything, so I am so surprised you even have mirrors, lights, a whole kitchen, appliances and even the drawer thing under the sink 😂 But it is crazy to me that you guys really left everything behind multiple times!
