I lived in EDH for 30 years - and it was beautiful - until about 5 years ago - when they overpopulated the area - truly sad because it was a great community - I will have to contradict your statement about 'not house on house' all of the newer development is completely house on house , some of them have Zero lot line developments (i.e. Blackstone dev) . if you are moving to EDH - I suggest looking north of HWY 50 , even the older homes will have larger lots, larger trees - wider roads. It's just getting over crowded - which is why we moved out last year :( .... still better than So Cal ... :D Towncenter is a great place to eat for sure - only 45 minutes to the Airport - 1.5 hr to Lake Tahoe. Great School (if you are North of 50) does get hot in summer (110F) Good luck

In El Dorado Hill, is there a lack of insurers due to wildfires?

I wouldn’t say it’s specific to El Dorado Hills, some areas may require an additional fire insurance policy.
