Very nice build. The Tiger Shark P-40's have been done to death. Half of 1% were probably painted that way. One of the best photos I've ever seen of a P-40 were two taking off of a dirt strip in North Africa and they had a large Jolly Roger type insignia behind the prop that looked crudely hand painted in white house paint, probably. Slapped on. Loved it....

This absolutely bar none the best weathering paint job I have seen everyone over does it. This looks identical to the colorized pictures of the P40 I have seen right down to the oil streaks. Amazing.

That's fantastic, I've always loved the look of the P40, it just looks so damn American. It hints at those glorious automobiles to come in the 50's with huge tailfins and faired in aesthetics. If a person knew absolutely nothing about WW2 aircraft I'd bet he'd still know this was an American design. Brilliant job and something for all of we mere mortal modellers to aspire to.

My favorite WW-2 U.S. Army Air Force fighter. Of course there were better fighters but you could make so many versions of this fighter. Personally I love the 5th Air Force. Kenney,s boys. New Guinea theatre. I also prefer a pilot figure and I have to convert to a wheels up version. Can,t have a dogfight with wheels down.
