I'm so obsessed with your videos and energy. I ESPECIALLY love these full week of workouts videos because I'm just trying to get back into lifting after switching to pilates and barre for my strength training for the past 6-7 years and I'm so conditioned in those methods that now I'm like "wait...what lifts should I even do?" Suuuuper helpful. I still love barre and pilates and am definitely not giving them up but I'm aiming to get to a place where I do barre/pilates 3 days/wk and lift 3x/wk. Thank you for all you do!!! Your form is FABULOUS! I wish all my clients were as form attentive as you are.

@@Livfiit ahhh I feel like such a geek cause I’m so excited you replied!!! I’m actually a Bar Method instructor and it’s been amazing for me but originally I was always a traditional “go to the gym and do some cardio followed by lots of lifting” and I miss that sometimes! Barre has totally changed my body and I won’t ever stop doing it but sometimes you just crave that heavier weight after doing so much light weights - body weight work. I also just got certified as an ACE Health Coach which is super exciting and my next certs are going to be personal training and nutrition so I get really stoked when I see other holistically focused health professionals like you since that’s what my methodology is all about. I wish I lived in Utah or you lived in California so we could pick each other’s brains! Keep up the great work lady!!!

Wow! Thank you so much! I used to be a runner until I completely demolished my leg and fell into depression and gained a lot of weight with not being able to run. I’m still in a boot, but I’m slowly being able to put my pressure on my leg. Do you have any tips for keeping up motivation and being able to keep up with goals? This is something I’m really struggling with since I’m having to relearn how to walk and deal with not being able to run again.

Hey! I’ve also been a runner for half my life and had a chronic injury after my marathon and taken 2 years off. Weight training and walking is bringing me the fulfillment I need and new goals to work towards in the gym. Just be patient, stay dedicated to your PT and get into the gym slow and steady when you’re ready. Hope this helps!

@@Livfiit thank you for the response! i love the alphalete hauls. if it is okay to ask, what kind of sports bra/tank (undertop? idk what to call it) was worn on day 6? and what kind of shoes were you wearing? they looked so sturdy for workouts. would you recommend them for lifting days?
@Livfiit3 жыл бұрын
@@Angel-uj3bk For sure!! It's actually like a lounge sports bra / bralette from Aerie! I don't know the name of it unfortunately because my sister actually gave it to me. My shoes from day 6 are from Adidas that are also super old that I got from an outlet hahah I don't know the name of them either, I'm sorry!! But I honestly found a really similar pair from Vans that may be worth checking out. The Adidas ones aren't very sturdy because it's kind of a sock style shoe, you just slip it on. The shoes I'd recommend for lifting are Vans because the toe box is wide and it's a nice flat, sturdy shoe. I always lift in the high top skater Vans on leg days! This is the similar Vans. They used to have it white too but now just black: www.vans.com/shop/womens-shoes/ultrarange-gore-black#hero=2

love your channel! studies show that glute activation doesn't actually enhance performance or muscle gain, and the idea of getting your glutes (or any muscle) to "fire" is a myth. what are your thoughts?

Thank you!! I personally notice I have better glute recruitment & mind to muscle connection when I add in about 5 minutes of glute activation beforehand so I continued to implement it 💗

im nervous im doing my deadlift wrongs but i do what everyone says but still having tension in my lower back, is alittle tension ok?
@Livfiit3 жыл бұрын
I’d say it depends on if you’re experiencing tension or actual pain! Some tension is normal considering the fact that deadlifts also definitely engage your back!! It’s a full body movement so both your upper & lower back are working during the move too :) if it’s actual pain, then there may be something off with your form!

Also keeping your core tight & engaged during the whole movement will help to mitigate stress on your lower back🙌🏼

Hi!! Something to keep in mind when going into a fat loss phase is that you don’t want to be doing too much too soon / ramping up intensity too much. There is a possibility that you are in too harsh of deficit and/or doing too much cardio which can sometimes make your body hesitant to respond. How many cardio sessions are you doing? And what do they usually consist of? A great thing to implement if you haven’t already is walking!!! Im telling you it’s so underrated but it’s amazing for fat loss because it burns calories without over stressing your body & causing an influx of hormones which play a big role in fat loss. So that may be something that can help you as a form of cardio too. I also have a video about some fat loss tips that really helped me if you wanna check that out too! kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3WlfGSXeJ5mjMU

Also, you should have core engaged in pretty much every exercise, so whether you’re squatting, shoulder pressing, etc. your core should be engaged and working. Plus, we all have abs, just a layer of fat over it, so lower fat=abs
