We do that as it's traditionally an american sport so racers and spectators are familiar with mph. Our local track tried kph for a few meets and due to complaints reverted it back :)

dude dont talk shit if you dont know what youre saying, the only thing that is billet is the internals, a standard 2jz can perform at max 800hp, to get this motor to run reliably at 1600 they sleeve the block and blueprint the engine. the head is still factory material, it is 100% a 2jz gte

No need for apologies, im aware of the times they run - i didnt say top qualify though did i. Most are running 5.90's and its not uncommon for the bottom qualifiers to be 6.2's or 1's.

Yeah true! except its not.... even 6.40 - 6.26 is a long way. Quickest tube chassis 4cyl is Carl Brunnet's pontiac gxp - 6.58 @ 211. Next quickest is brent rau's eclipse with a 6.82 @ 202mph. Half a second is a real long way when you're at such a high level of development. GAS have taken it to a whole new level with that 6.26 and 230mph, should be an exciting 12 months with some new cars / combos on the way!

Err no shit they are a 3l from the factory einstein, but whats that got to do with this? All the 2j/rb 6's in this field run at least 3.2, thats what this video is on and thats what i was takling about. Production BASED engine means that this is BASED off a factory produced engine. That means the pistons, cams, crank - all engine parts from this 2jz will fit in any other 2jz, and thats why its still able to be called a 2jz. And yes pro mods do 5 sec passes, very clever..... ?
