That was actually a Portuguese built (y.1580) Nau Ship, called São Martinho. When Portugal became part of Spain due to a succession crisis (ended in 1640) a Spanish Noble man took charge of it in Lisbon to be his Flagship in the Spanish Armada that tried to invade the United Kingdom (and failed, with a huge cost for the Portuguese ships forced on that Armada). You can see by the shape and proportions of the hull it was different from Spanish "standards" at the time... But bigger ships than her were built on the same Shipyards, some 30 years before like the 1000T Nau São João Baptista, Botafogo (Spitfire), about 60 meters long.
