Using this with a flute is a really fascinating idea. I love that you can use it with more than just guitars.

This is an amazing demonstration (great singer btw!). I wanna make this point out, because I see some people ask questions below that are more related for producers. The loopstation is first and foremost meant to be used "live", giving the singers and performers the freedom to experiment with the recording of phrases and combine them to test. When you step into a DAW, you have already the "loopers" (tracks in order plus sections) that can be managed horizontally, the arrangement work then. That way you don't do live, it's more for producers who want to mix the loops from the loopstation and reinvent the sound-remix or master. So the way I think it works is: you play live, you save your project and phrases and then import them into your computer, then into the DAW and re-arrange them as they were meant to be, then remix and master as a final product. For live recordings you can send the outputs (sub, for example) to a recorder and you record in real time what you play (and be sure you practice 100+ times before to get it right, since you can't change anything afterwards). Good luck everybody!

That was amazing. I have been wanting this pedal for years now and FINALLY decided to invest and get one. I'm a multi-instrumentalist and really just wanted it to record instrument loops at live shows. But, after seeing what she did with just the mic alone... This video just gave me ALL sorts of ideas for the full capabilities of this unit! Thank you!!

maybe Im the only one that does this, I use it as my band, take songs that can broke into 3 tracks, record the acoustic track, then add bass, drums, maybe piano or other percussion sounds. I always have one track looping the solo, the other two for the intro, or ending. Took a while to figure how to do it, but it works really well. I got about 60 full songs, original

So each set of dual pedals is capable of overdubbing multiple layers like 3 separate loopers? Let's say I'm a 3 or 4 piece band with drums, bass, maybe keyboard, and only 1 guitarist...but I want to sound like our band has 2 guitarists: Will I be capable of using set 1 for a VERSE, record a rhythm, overdub a lead harmony, then sing over that? Or record a rhythm, and just use playback to physically play lead... Then I can use set 2 for a CHORUS and do the same... Then use set 3 for a BRIDGE/BREAKDOWN, and do the same? Thanks for taking time to read!

It sounds like the key difference between the RC3, 30, 300 is the tracks and effects. Doesn't sound like the 300 over the 3 would bring much more benefit for someone who just wants to dub several things on top of each other. Correct me if Im wrong but the RC3 can dub continuously up to 3 hours. Just looking for a non bias opinion on what looper is the best in the boss line since I prefer their pedal casing over button pedals.

Can the loops from the different stations (1,2 and 3) be used separately? I've been looping live on the Boss RC-30, adding a harmony each time I do the chorus. But it can only do one loop at a time. What if I want to add a separate harmony on the pre-chorus? Can this unit record and play back different loops that don't go together, within the same song? (live)

Excellent! New subscriber! Question: is it possible to record a whole looping performance inside the RC-300 (from beginning to end, not just recording the individual tracks, but the performance as it happened in time)? Thanks!
@YerikMusician10 жыл бұрын
***** Hi, I want to buy the RC 300 but I have some questions about it. Could I record (at the same time) voice, piano and guitar. I saw the inputs and I think I cannot connect my piano and mi guitar (both of them I mean) but at the same time I think there must be a way. And the last one, How does de audio record function works? Could I record the audio with my computer via USB? Thank you for your time!!
@jeremyjameslv9 жыл бұрын
The way I do it is by sub mixing into a presonus mixer and sending all tracks into one input
@PabloDeMode9 жыл бұрын
+YerikMusician As Jeremy pointed out, you can do it via the mixer (instruments to mixer and mixer to input). Of course you need at least one person more to play one of the instruments (I can't imagine you will play piano, guitar and vocals at the same time) and it doesn't really make sense using the looper when you have already a band to play, in my opinion. That's why if you see all video's that demonstrate the loopstation you'll hear that they start with long intro's (drums, bass, some vocals, effects) to bring the basic groove and then singing above it all. If you want to play all instruments yourself you need to do that way as the singer in the video did with the vocals. Good luck

does anyone know if you can send the specific "tracks" (1, 2 & 3) to different outputs? I see on the back of the unit "main output" & "sub output", but my concern with the rc-300 is if I want to run a keyboard, guitar, and bass into it.... I theoretically have separate amps/outputs for them to go through... like a guitar amp, a bass amp, and a keyboard amp. Is that possible ? or even possible with some other looper / sequencer? (i'm trying to avoid having 3 individual loop pedals)
@andreamuzio19944 жыл бұрын
Great video! I was wondering, once you set a length on the first recorded track, is it possible to make loops that are twice as long or half the length on the other loop tracks? And also, is it possible to use the 3 loop tracks without sync, so I can loop different song parts and play them individually? Thanks :)

This is so unbelievably late you probably worked it out yourself haha but yes you can, depending on what mode you're in you just might have to turn loop sync off.
