Fullerton: On 09-20-24 Fullerton police responded to a disturbance with a possible stabbing with a pen at the Chevron gas station located near Brookhurst Rd and Orangethorpe Ave. when units arrived on scene, the victim was not at the scene anymore. A female matching the description of the suspect was located in the parking lot of the gas station standing outside of her vehicle. Officers attempted to contact the female who was uncooperative and got in the vehicle locking the doors. Officers observed a knife in the vehicle and awaited additional resources. Several attempts to negotiate with the suspect were made. Officers blocked in the suspect vehicle to prevent the female from driving away. The female began ramming the police cars in an attempt to flee. Less than lethal options were used. Officers deployed pepper balls into the suspect vehicle in an attempt to have the female exit the vehicle and surrender. The female did not exit at that time. After several minutes, the suspect opened the door and exited, shielding herself from the officers with an unknown object. The female disobeyed orders and began to try and get back inside the vehicle where the knife was located. At this time, a police dog was deployed to prevent the suspect from gaining access to the knife. The female suspect was bitten on her upper bicep area. Officers provided medical treatment including tourniquets.
