On that 5th day still being sore, I went out for a 3.5mile ride, I was scared I'm not gonna lie, but this is what I say. We can get into a freak accident anywhere at anytime in or on anything, we just have to do our due diligence and be prepared and safe. I no longer think I can't get hurt even though I fell off it hard a few times before. I'm just more aware and cautious and that comes with experience. I'm over 315miles now since mid July, and I still can't wait to float everyday. NICE VID bro.. Stay positive and enjoy life to the fullest 💯 👍🏾

I watched this just out of curiosity, but think you are right that keeping top speed down is important. I see these around but mostly a lot of e-bikes, and they all haul ass way faster than a standard bike, then suddenly you never see them again, because when they wreck at that speed it's going to be bad, like wrecking full speed on your bike. Especially if something gets caught up in the front wheel or in this case it suddenly stops. But at least with a helmet and some pads it may be safer. Cool video though I'm going to check out more of the truck house ones.

My wife was just putt’n around on our daughters one wheel very slowly on the sidewalk which she had done many times before it wasn’t her first time then the front dipped down she fell off and a knee surgery we had to pay for. Yay a $10,000 one wheel ride. I believe the foot sensors are the problem it’s hard to keep the correct amount of pressure on the foot sensors when the one wheel is constantly moving up and down to the ever changing terrain like a suspension that sometimes the feet become disconnected from the sensor causing the board to shut off. This issue is completely different from those who are going to fast and causing the motor to shut off. Unfortunately I don’t know that they’ll ever be able to correct this problem this is why we sold all three of our one wheels.
@TruckHouseLife3 жыл бұрын
yipe sorry to hear that!
@RT-qz5ci3 жыл бұрын
Ive had this happen. Its honestly risky to go too slowly bc if your feet arent positioned right, the board thinks you are trying to stop. Do you mind if i ask what kind of knee injury she had? Did she step off with 1 foot to catch herself and the board took off or something?
@nathanf32303 жыл бұрын
You're incorrect. You only need to be covering both sensors in the front foot pad if you're riding below 1 mph. Thats extremely slow. Above that speed only one of the sensors needs to be covered. It's pretty impossible not to press one sensor whilst up and riding. All this info is in the manual. I ride group rides with up to 20 people. We've all owned our boards for over a year and ridden thousands of miles. No one board has just shut off. You sold al three of your onewheels because you got scared. Nothing wrong with that. It's not for everyone.

Dude, nothing against OW as me thinks its super kool. I like it but end of the day, its a toy & a toy with major limitations (range, speed, form are just 3). For your lifestyle, what you really need is a EUC ie. Electric UniCycle! Get something like a Gotway RS torque version & shod with a dual sport knobby, you'd on road, offroad, mtb trailing, hill climbing, exploring & adventuring with it. There are a number of brands of models & range for th RSt (mentione above) is anywhere from 30-50+miles, depending on average spds & terrain. I know cos I own & ride a number of 'em. While OW is like snowboarding, EUCs are more like skiing. As usual, IMO & YMMV. Peace out brother! 🤘

Onewheels are death traps, clearly by your irreparable damage to your hand. I am a EBoard enthusiast and would recommend: 1. Ditch the Onewheel 2. Get a Meepo City Rider or V3 with 100mm wheels. There is a remote which could be the only supposed downside. 3. If you decide to keep the Onewheel then I would suggest getting Fangs attachments for the power offs and nose dives, the fangs will allow you to ride it out like a nose press. *just be aware of the "push back" from One Wheel, it happens when trying to gain more speed but either battery or the computer will not allow it and it ‘jerks’ rider back to alert You. If you ignore it and continue on the accelerator, u will crash. Like you did. Anyway. Hope your hand gets better Timmmmmmy!

People always say "respect the OW"... That's tough to do with its limitations. Small battery, underpowered motor and bad software. Needs a bigger battery, more powerful motor and a capped top speed of around 30mph. No nosedives between 15 - 19mph, if 19 is the max speed then it should maintain that. As for hill climbing, don't get me started. 2k for all of that? I get it, the ride is something else but coming from any other esport one can't live with these limitations.

How is it the most dangerous EV? My electric skateboard goes twice as fast
@IkeCoblentz3 жыл бұрын
A electric skateboard doesn't rely on the motor to balance. If the Onewheel motor glitches your on the ground and your going sideways so it's hard to run
@TruckHouseLife3 жыл бұрын
if the motor fails or you go to fast, the nose dives and the board instantly stops, you go flying off... skateboards have 4 wheels so if the motor dies you still keep rolling safely to a stop.

@@TruckHouseLife both are potentially dangerous but we are willing to take the risk for the enjoyment of riding.

Have you fellas had issues with the motor controller or motor issues? I was originally going to get a one wheel but I decided to go esk8 instead. Now I’m building my 4th skateboard. 😆

the one wheel is NOT a "Electric Vehicle". it is not a vehicle. your title of "EV" is just wrong.
@TruckHouseLife3 жыл бұрын
lol, a vehicle is defined as a machine that transports people or cargo... i think it justifies calling it an EV, it's electric and it transports humans
