It's Insane to keep Maguire He's looked ok for a team conceding 20+ shots a game. His got no pace, his passing is awful. How are we going to play a high line and pass through the press with him. This is the last chance to get some value for him. His wage is now more attainable for club now were not in the champions league

Fellaini as a starter was horrendous. Fellaini coming on in the 2:nd half to chase a goal or see the game out was brilliant. So I think he was a decent one for us. But that money could (and should) have been spent on a better starting midfielder though.

Branthwaite is not an elite ball player, he's just a competent one, not bad by any means. He is extremely athletic however and wins a hell of a lot of duels. Very strong in the wide areas, very quick. £70m is way too much, if you get him for closer to £50m and structure it right then you're laughing imo. Would help us to defend much further up the pitch

Branflakes gives us the positive aspects of Maguire without the negatives. You can see why they see him as an effective CB in a back four with Martinez. I'd play him as left centreback with Martinez as the leftback, tucking in as a three in possession with the rightback/Dalot advancing to midfield/overlap.

At this point it's gonna be £30-£35m dressed up with add ons as being £40m/£45m cause Ineos are obsessed with PR/image. Dortmund won't pay 40 or 35. Spanish as ever are broke. Italians only shot but they won't value him high as Greenwood due to age & wages. Also even if we get £40m we'll take a 1 off loss of £10-15m subsiding any wages...else like Ste said, any agent/player would come back & wait it out whilst fulfilling their contract with reserves.

One thing I would say about Antony is that during that ole/ralf season I didn’t think u could pay a team to take maguire from us. At the beginning of this season when the Sancho vs ETH thing happened, I didn’t think we’d get anything for him, and I also didn’t think anyone would take a punt on greenwood let alone give us a fee for him. I’d send Antony back to Ajax and hope he could rediscover some amount of form. But like u guys said he’s just so unlikeable at times

@StretfordPaddock the problem with Fred was that he could never string multiple good games together. Occassionally we'd get two out of him, but no more. EtH was able to get a few three game stretches, but no more. He was a very likable player - personality wise, effort wise, but very frustrating that he wasn't more consistent

Joe always likes to make out rashford scored 30 league goals. It was 17 league goals, 6 league cup, and 6 europa, a good season, but hardly a world class 1. The lads seem to have forgotten that missing out on champions league football has seen the United players wages drop by 25%, and that sancho is/was on £300k, not £350k which means his wage now drops to £225k. Admittedly that might still cause problems, but I’d imagine it’s less of a problem than had he still been on £300k Also, on Casemiro, he’s not on £350k anymore, he’s dropped to JUST over £250k (think it’s like £252k). I get these wages are still high, but I wish the lads would use the updated wages that these players are now on instead of what they were on 2 months ago

People always overstate Sancho's wages, I swear he's really on like £200k a week with huge bonuses which he obviously doesn't hit. £350K is just something that's stuck, you can easily pay off part of £200k cause we were just negotiating it last year with Maguire's £190k with West Ham. You basically cover the gap which is around £100k with a discount for paying it off in 1 go/comproise. It's more than doable to pay off £100k a week than £250k gap.

As usual; Jay is the most right or the one that i tend to agree most with. Especially on Rashford. The 50m nett is due to last 2 years of ETH, Murtough and Arnold. He is right about booting Anthony out. Bit should be net 0. As he would earn £21mil over next 2 years; we should accept fees around £15m for him; where it all goes to Anthony. Going on that; why sell AWB. Get him on an extension of a 3 + 1 year at 90k/week to match ETH rubbish darlings like Malacia as well. We should rid Malacia at net 0 cost to us too. Sell Marcus, McT, Greenwood for combined £120m - £130m. Anyone else like AWB, Maguire, Sancho, Casemiro and some U21 players should add another £80m - £100m. In PSR terms it should be £150m pure profit along with £50m transfer kitty should be good to get Zirkee, Nico Williams, Ambrabat, plus RCB (×2), LB, backup RB, CDM n other players. The only issue will be with home grown players. There will be only Luke Shaw, Evans, Mount n they should sign another 2 players like Heaton n Tosin to make up the quota. Next season one of Mainoo, Garnacho or Willy Kambwala will become eligible.

Keeping Maguire, AWB means another failed season. Sancho, McT, Marcus, Casemiro has to go. Between Sancho and Anthony, Anthony is better who has run past players. Sancho was bought to play RW but he started playing LW, which was overloaded with Martial, Rashford already. Even Pogba n Bruno fancy playing there. But whom do you have as winger on right - none. All of Rashford, Sancho, Amad are more of secondary striker or inside forward or a 10 which is a position not required with the way ETH plays. It is just the English bias who think AWB, Rashy, Sancho n Maguire are better.

To Ste Howsons inner nerd- Regarding Chelsea spending 1 billion on players..... I think I'm right in saying that TB bought Chelsea cheap, on the proviso that he spent 1.4b (I think was the number) on players and infrastructure. They already have one of the best training grounds in the world. They can't build up and out cos the council won't let them. Where else could Chelsea possibly move to considering the lack of space in London, heritage and the COST OF £UCKING LONDON! I'd suggest Chelsea HAD to spend a billion on players or face huge problems with the government (who were involved in the whole process). Is this where Chelsea claim in the future that any punishments the PL give Chelsea would be deemed unlawful????? Effectively, it gave TB a license to play fantasy football. It doesn't matter if they make a loss on the players bought as it was money already written off due to the conditions of buying the club. If it works, you've just created the Cockney Real Madrid. If not, you sell for whatever and that would be pure profit for ffp reasons (or whatever they're calling it). Also the 8 yr contracts helped spread the cost over 3 periods of ffp (the losses clubs are allowed, are calculated over 3 year periods). I know this has nothing to do with united but this issue has been bugging me for some unknown reason and I'm sure if Ste jumped down the rabbit hole I'm sure his inner nerd would get it clarified.
