I used to bring tiny shots of Jameson into NAMM in my bag. Many a toasty time was partaken. It made running a a booth more moar fun. Social anxiety was virtually eliminated. I remember the guys from WMDevices were openly drinking Coors Banquets in their booth. Such a great brand. It's a shame they are no more.

I think Mike needs to take a little more responsibility or ownership than just pretending he gets stressed on some days- he is consistently one of the biggest pricks you will ever meet. He was so bad it literally shut his business down- even though he makes some of the best pedals on the market. You gotta be a real prick to make ppl be like "I don't care how good his pedal sounds; he can go to h3ll." but Mike had that effect on just about everyone I ever saw interact with him. My boss was a youth minister- owned a Christian bookstore that was really a music shop- it's the same shop Josh from JHS pedals used to manage- and even he got into it with Mike. he was one of the nicest, most soft spoken, humble ppl I ever met- and within 15 minutes Mike had him cursing and spitting mad, swearing he would never sell a Fulltone product or allow one in his shop.

Yep. Some people may not realise that this isn't something that just came from some social media comments. Before social media even existed, he had form as having the worst and rudest customer service in the business. He was extremely disrespectful to me on two separate occasions in the early 2000's at a point where I had a pedalboard that was full of Fulltone products. I'm not buying the excuses either. In the end given all the great options on the market these days I just decided I'd rather give my consumer dollars to people I really like.

Not to be too guessy about his personal life, but it's reasonable to assume he's got some emotional issues. In this day in age, businesspeople understand that you have a private persona and a public-facing persona, and while the latter can utilize the former, the former should never come at expense of the latter in the realm of business. So while there are personal things more important than business, he screwed up his personal life over business. At least this guy in the video related that Fuller is knowledgeable about what he's bad at -- customer service. Yikes, one of the all-time worst at that, lol. Now, if only they can work at the fonts on the pedals a bit...nothing crazy. Just a slight change to take it from 90s Microsoft Word fonts to the modern era!

Ah yes "Infamous email exchanges". I had one of those when the boost footswitch died on my 6 month old FD II FM about 25 years ago. I took a deep breath and applied many years' experience dealing with "difficult customers", waited a couple of days and went back in again with a different approach from another email address. Second time he was nice as pie. Told me they'd had a lousy batch of switches and sent me two replacements. The second footswitch died about five years ago :)

Love it. Glad he’s back. I bought a custom shop OCD AFTER the 💩hit the fan and before he “retired” , and I havnt shopped at Guitar Center since they made the stupid decision to stop selling Fulltone. ( I actually bought the same custom shop OCD from guitar center during this time period and they refused to ship the pedal after I had paid for it. I dunno what they did with all the fulltone stock they had. 🖕🏼them though)

My OCD is the best OD pedal I have ever owned and one that is on my list of “Never Sell or Trade”. I don’t mix politics and entertainment. And personally I really don’t care.

Mike is one of the Granddaddys of the pedal business! His pedals are as Good, or better than anyone’s. So what if the man has an opinion, and the balls to voice it! Political correctness, and wokeness is BS. Individual opinions and feelings are a Freedom that everyone is entitled to, just as those that don’t agree with him are. Get a damned grip on yourselves, sheeple.

Mike's issues started long before that social media rant. I had a two separate interactions with him on the phone that turned me off his stuff at a point where my board was full of Fulltone products. The interactions were actually a couple of years apart & I'll give anyone a second chance, but he was particularly rude. It was well beyond the having a bad day being a bit snappy level. Mike definitely has good ears but there are a lot of great options these days & I'd rather give my consumer dollars to people I respect.
