Call me crazy...... When I look back at the original 240z, and think how on earth the 350z or 370z or new Z are at all related???? And I am sure like a lot of us watching this video have thought, 'What modern car comes closest to this classic sports car formula? Straight 6, long bonnet, RWD, Manual, painfully low and compromised ingress and egress......I keep coming up with the current Supra GR.

The bmw e86 z4 is the most similar car you can get. I have a 280z and the e86 in my garage. The lines are almost the same, the engine is a 3.0 NA inline 6. And the details like the speedometer and tachometer in "tubes", radio antena placing and dimming the rear view mirror with a knob...

According to Babvvo and Tebbvo laws, sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they even want to slow down all the gas pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.

Those aren't factory side mirrors. Pierre's Z Cars is out of business now. He was a rude man in the '70s and has had terrible reviews.

Those ARE factory side mirrors. They were special equipment sports mirrors, only available in the sports package, which contained these mirrors + rear window louvers. Ok, they weren't painted yellow, they were black, nontheless, these mirrors came from the factory.

He and his son are crooks. They have stolen parts off cars from a dozen or more customers who have judgements against them. Mike Perrot is a thief and has all the stolen parts in his garage which he sells to customers. I hope they get the karma they deserve.

@@dtna Well he is 84 and suffers from a stroke from all the karma that caught up to him. They really burned alot of people by stealing original parts and selling them to other customers. His son as started a new company that is illegal and being shut down by the city.

@@carlacakes983 This is true. I am a victim. He stole original parts from my 1971 Datsun 240Z while at his shop for restoration. Specifically, my original hornpad. He even had the balls to charge me for a new knock off. When I confronted him, he never responded. I have all of the receipts. A conman and thief. He deserves no glory.
