I still wonder if certain seeds and nuts are truly raw when I heard they undergo cooking processes to make sure it's shelf ready and safe - like cashews. However, if you're growing them yourself - you don't have to worry about it - you can eat them raw. Fresh sunflower seeds just are much nicer than dried and then rehydrated ones. I'm wondering if it's safe to eat right off the plant - the seeds - when they're fresh and not dry - or you still need to sprout them?

thanks for the video - I felt that greens would be the baseline - they are super rich in protein and just about everything else - how else do livestock like cows and horses end up with so much muscle? It's the grass that they eat. So if we just eat grasses - like barley grass - it'd work out! Barley grass also has the most calcium that I know of any whole vegan food and it also contains b12 - so that helps build muscle alongside the protein. Carnists say we can't eat grass - but just about everyone - at least half the world - eats grass - wheat, corn, rice, etc. We can eat the greens. People say we can't consume cellulose, but if it's powderized - the cellulose is broken down for the most part. Not to mention - our body does digest cellulose via the gut microbiome, and if not - it's probably not meant to be digested - and not digesting it reaps health benefits too - like detoxing.

Thanks Kristina for all your education and help with the raw vegan lifestyle! I used to be raw vegan back in my 20s (many moons ago), and when I stopped, I gained so much weight and chronic health conditions. A regret that I felt I couldn't sustain it long-term. Now, I've had bariatric surgery (gastric sleeve) and would like to get back to a raw vegan lifestyle, but I cannot eat the same quantity of food that you can eat. My stomach is quite small now. Do you have any advice of how to eat and live raw vegan for people who have had bariatric surgery? I'm 160lbs down and still losing, but, would love to lose the rest of the weight healthy and safely while returning to a raw vegan diet. Protein is mandatory, and I'd need to maintain around 60g per day. Thank you for your help! Blessings!! :)

it can help, for sure, lots of calcium and anti-inflammatory but you will also need to supplement, and get vitamin D (supplement or Vitamin D), exercise with light weights, and maybe get someone to make you herbal concoctions for bone strength, either chinese medicine or a really good herbalist, also take myrrh and frankincense (boswellia) for bone strength. Make sure you are getting a good source of magnesium, too (I use CALM), Algaecal is also good, take STRONTIUM, Algaecal has one with strontium in it. Hope this helps.

Kristina, choosing to be vegan is not about food it's about the animals. It's a choice to not harm animals by consuming them or using products derived from animals. "Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude-as far as is possible and practicable-all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals."

I absolutely agree with this. I am not disputing that in this video. It’s helping to guide people to have the correct information so they can have success long term.
@TeresaCook-de6jo4 ай бұрын
She probably knows that already:) I think she wishes to inspire people to eat vegan without being judgy. People change through love, not condemnation. I can’t remember who initially said that, but it’s true. Non-vegans can hear her message but might tell judgy know-it-all sounding vegans to get lost. And many people first entered veganism because of Health, before realizing and growing into the ethical reasons for being vegan. A super important difference when we try to approach people that are non-vegan.
