Hey Brooklyn, The best way to install the valves is actually not to point it down like you have it, but to the side. That way you can avoid having to deal with it pointing toward the ground.

To the side? Really? I actually like the fact the it points/aims strait down. I did my first oil change yesterday since It was installed... what a breeze. I like it.

You don't aim down because if you hit something, its going to rip it right out. NYC roads, roads unplowed, potholes are unforgiving.

I have one installed on my 2014 RLX SH-AWD ...makes changing the oil a breeze bro!!!!!!

Thanks for the video. Yeah, get a 3/8" torque wrench; you will use it a lot more. I would be afraid that valve would get knocked off... Maybe angle it? Did it take much longer to drain your pan with the smaller orafice? Good luck with it.

Yea...I guess it would be safer to angle it.. but I haven't. Its still aimed straight down... haven't had any issues, besides ..I live in NYC.. I don't do much off-roading ..lol. And Yes....your oil will drain a slight bit slower but not enough to be a deal breaker. Its sweet doing an oil change without jacking or ramping my suv . I just turn my steering wheel all the way to the right (to allow access to oil filter) and slide a drain pan underneath. I always do my oil changes right after the car has been driven when the oil is nice and HOT!! Drains faster and less risk of getting burned with the Fumoto installed.

I’ve had it on my ‘15 Pilot for over three years and like it. Just ordered another for an ‘08 Escape for my son. Just makes it so easy to do an oil change.
