Totally agree, this video is excellent and really captures the FL’s capability, I especially enjoyed the wheel lifts and watching the terrain response system sort things out, epic !!

Never put side steps on mine can get you hung up on things, I got 2005 facelift TD4 auto Station wagon HSE, just done 201000 miles , always used 10w 40 oil. Now collectable herritage vehicles.

We agree on the side steps, they very easily get bent too and prevent doors from opening. But we wouldn't be without our rock sliders as they have saved the sill of the car and the lower half of the doors on a lot of occasions. 😀 That's some impressive mileage on that car 👌👍🏻.

They are all 2.2L diesel's. 😁 The difference in sound can sometimes come from the MuddyMods raised air intake that some of the Freelander 2's have on them. 😀 - Scott

I just got my freelander 2 hse, it's took year's to get one and I'm to scared of damaging it to go off road.

Freelander 2's take alot of punishment to actually "damage". 😁 But if it is your pride and joy, the fear of damage can sometimes over rule the fun of being off road.😀 If you ever wanted to dip your toe in as to say, sign up to the Freelander 2 Off Road Group on Facebook because this annual meeting is happening again in April! 😀 You could turn up and do a passenger ride with someone to get the feel for it if you wanted. There is also the Muddy Freelander page run by Muddy Mods, they have a yearly Muddy Weekender. It's another event that you can come along to and either jump into the passenger seat of someone or just watch if you wanted. It's all a fantastic laugh. 😁 - Scott
