It is now, Nov., 2023. I am 78 years old old. The cooking was phenomenal..but even without the cooking, to be treated with such respect and honour, is such a blessing, I don't know where to begin. The Lord is going to bless you. I am so full!!

She reminds me so much of my grandma. Her voice, the way she instructs and takes over lol is the same. I had to laugh when she was talking about your spoon. My grandma would do the same if one of us didn’t have something she was accustomed to using. I was able to make my first sweet potato pie the Thanksgiving before she passed. I still can hear her say, "Nikki you did that as she ate it!" Happy tears, thank you for sharing. ❤

I just love mama old fashion cooking. I thought that was too much butter but you guy’s did the taste. Too much butter makes it buttery, that’s why the husband wanted more sugar. She said it was a half size cup so when she put the four cups in there it was only 2 cups of sugar so when the husband put one cup and mama put 1 cup in the bowl all together it was just 3 cups of sugar, which I would have put in four cups altogether because when you bake the oven takes away some of the sweet taste. Just FYI so when baking use a 1/2 cup extra and it will be the taste you are looking for. It look good, but that was a lot of butter 4 sticks It was not that much potatoes- I enjoy the way mama cook. I will try her stuffing. I have never used fresh sage, but I can image it’s a good taste Thank you for your tape. Love it From Virginia

when I make sweet potato pie I get as many stringy pieces out as possible before adding butter sugar etc if not when cleaning off beaters part of sugar etc gets thrown away.
