Fun Project! Making a Glue Book!

Here is how I put my glue books together. I use fun book covers, and lots of interesting junk papers, etc. Then I have fun just gluing images and making collages in it, and watching it grow fatter and fatter! I hope you will enjoy this process!

It’s such a relief to see a Journal Master also have a time when the materials just fight them, 😃Thank you for not editing it out! I haven’t ever done a glue journal before. It looks fun and I’m laid up in bed a lot so this would be great for those times. I personally like the fabric, but I am more of a bright colors girl. Thank you for sharing how to do this!

Yes, Beth, this would be a great creative outlet wen you are laid up. Just have a glue stick, a pair of scissors, some images, and a book to glue in!

Priority mail envelopes free from the post office are tyvec. I wouldn’t suggest going in and grabbing a bunch but I don’t think one or two would hurt. I have some in some stash from when I used to sell on eBay and shipped everything priority.

What a great idea Diane. I'm sure you will sell them all. I love my glue books. I am pretty new to junk journaling and so far the glue books are my favorite thing to work on and my favorite glue book is one I made using pages from an old atlas and coffee dyed papers. 😁

The fabric for the first book fits perfect. In Top of the Eiffel Tower is a hidden room. It was some kind of the Living Room from Gustav Eiffel (The one who built the Eiffel Tower). In this room he has a Meeting with eddison. Today there are wax figures of Eddison, Eiffel and his daughter in the room

I find it so reassuring to see mistakes included in videos - having to remove and redo the tyvek reinforcement is the kind of thing that happens to me multiple times! Seeing it happen to you suggest I'm not quite so inept as I thought I was lol. Many thanks for this video. Very helpful!

Absolutely! A binder would be perfect for this type of journal. An altered book would fatten up very quickly-- I would remove more than half the pages first. Thanks for watching, Debby!

I love this... but have a question... how do you work on a book that thick? I would think it would get cumbersome? Not criticizing... just really curious how to actually get stuff in it... I am really new at this stuff... but I love your easy directions! Love your teaching style! Thanks!

Hi, Jackie. That is a good question. My glue book is even thicker than then ones I am making. I am easily able to glue things in it. I have even done a little writing in it.
