Not only do I like how character creation is and how the reverend mother interviews us for character background, I appreciate the freedom mentioned in building our character. As to your point about "snowflakes (wanting) 'someone like them,'" Dude, why do you think character creators exist in the first place? It's an emersion tool. You are literally creating your avatar that is a digital representation of you or a character you are playing as. There's nothing 'snowflake' about it, it's one of the oldest traditions in gaming. Your lack of understanding about something this basic is why I stated I was uncertain about your age or gaming experience on top of your lack of caution toward obvious red-flags that this game will not be all they promise it will be. Love everything.. except for one small detail, which is important in the character creation and the narrative of NOT being Paul. The box is to test whether you succumb to animalistic instincts and Paul goes through it because Jessica created him to be the Kwisatz Haderrach. Since our character isn't the chosen one, the box makes no sense.

Not really true. The Bene Gesserit give that test to anyone they deem important enough, especially those who they're considering for their breeding program. It's like the final test before it's decided if your genes/bloodline is worth preserving.

Seems pretty solid. No clue why they would go the route of not allowing the player to be a Fremen considering many fans would love to. Makes me wonder what time period this is supposed to take place, in reference to the main continuity of Dune books. I don't know about anyone else, but not being able to play as a Fremen is real sore news. Hopefully you can still learn Fremen skills like the sandworm riding and whatnot.

The Cinematic trailer alluded to this being an alternate timeline, one seen by Paul in visions but in which he was never born. Bums me to say it but a dev video mentioned there was no worm riding. Fingers crossed it's something that can be added in future expansions if succesfull. Still a day one buy from me, I wanna support the team.

If people could play a Fremen, they'd want worm-riding. It's important to remember that since this is an MMO, playable Fremen and worm riding will probably be something we can do in the game in the games first one or two expansions. They need to keep something to pull players back in when they inevitably play as much as they want then leave.

A long post but tldr: I'm not mad, i'm just disappointed. The long version: This game needs more customization options. And yes that does include a boob AND Butt slider. We're going to be stuffed into skin-tight suits and outfits, and i want to look good in them. I'm not trying to run around as what generic body & bust size that is deemed "average" and as a 6'2 foot, 230 lb dude, i shouldn't have to.part of good representation is letting me customize my body to make it look similar to my own. And im sure others feel the same way. This customize feels lacking, which is a huge disappointment when you had the whole of conan exiles lifecycle of knowledge to improve this game's customization.

@@austinharp7264 I see your point, but: 1) An "abomination" is a rather specific term. If I'm not wrong, its was only used by the Revered Mother Mohiam referring to Alia due to her having the menories of previous fremen Revered Mothers. So I suppose you mean that in this scene she tries to test whether the protagonist is "human" or not. 2) Still, this "human or not test" simply cannot be passed unless you have some special Bene Gesserit training. And the latter is not available to commoners.

If this game is anything near planetside 2 level of gameplay… trust me, you’re not going to really care what your character is shaped like. The armors probably will just cover everything up, making minute facial or body details not as important and not the focus of the gameplay experience or reason why you play with one hand.

Why I agree the editor seems pretty lackluster, that other critique doesn't really make sense. Have you played any other mmo? Ignoring the role of other players in the main story is kind of a basic thing all mmo games have to do. Do you think about the other players doing the same main story in SWOR? Most probably don't, its not a problem for most players. It will be the same with this game.

@@felixhaggblom7562 yes. ive played a lot of bad/shit mmorpgs which make you the hero instead of someone living in the world. it never makes sense. its a common mistake in mmorpg development and no one is learning the lesson. most current mmo gamers are chuds. intellectually void of anything worthwhile. there is a reason why the mmo genre is LOSING players year over year while every other genre is growing.... because the mmo formula is fucking broken and trash.

I have to agree with guy above me, the second critique doesn’t make much sense. Tons of other MMOs do this like SWTOR, ESO, Destiny, and etc. The player is the hero, yet there tons of other players who also called the hero. The simple the explanation to this is that to the player, they are the main character, everyone else is pretty much a random who they encounter on their journey.

Can we get 2 new maps and things like activation traps in Conan? Can we get more raid-able camps like the castle can we get an exiled lands expansion adding like 3-4 locations to explore. Can we fix the cheating, meshing and lag switchers for pvp. May we get better boob physics? How about lots more dlc content? Bosses? Craftables?
