I feel so bad for people who have messaged you regarding sponsored content. I actually think that it is so amazing when your videos get sponsored because brands support you and you deserve that support. Honestly, you don't have to explain us why this is not sponsored or sponsored. This is a little bit upsetting that someone would actually dislike brands supporting you.

While I understand why so many people prefer unsponsored videos, I am more than happy to watch sponsored content. I know much how work goes into creating videos. It's hours and hours. Basically a second job. So if you are already going to be talking about a brand you enjoy, and that brand offers you a sponsorship, I see nothing wrong with that as long as the creator is giving their honest opinion (which it's clear you do! ❤) After all, running a channel is NOT free when you factor in the cost of equipment, software, etc. Sponorships simply help support channels so they can keep creating content! ❤ Sponsorships also let other people know what options they have for products.

I’ve tried it, it works well, and I love it, but I’m trying to do mostly silicone free right now and it does have silicones in it. My sister has it too and she likes it (she has straight hair, mine’s curly)

I have been using Function of Beauty for a couple of years now. I had heard some rumors about people thinking it was causing them to lose their hair. I then tried Strands based on your recommendation. Strands made my scalp so itchy and flaky. I don't know if I was allergic to something or what but I have never been allergic to a hair product, so I don't know. I am not back to Function of Beauty. The cherry blossom scent is the bomb!

Great video! I also ordered Function of beauty. Was super happy with it until I realised I got contact dermatitis from the conditioner. After investigation turns out I'm allergic to coconut oil... womp womp. Now I'm stuck with half a bottle of expensive custom conditioner 😅

Personally I don't care if YOU are sponsored I trust your reviews. I also love Kayley Melissa on KZbin. I have never once been led astray by her sponsored content. That being said a majority of KZbinrs I don't trust because they only have sponsored videos so then it makes me think they take any and all offers sent their way. You and Kayley sporadically do them plus experiment with a lot of products in the background so I know when you do say you trust a brand it's coming from a true place. ❤️ I will say good call on unsponsored for this particular brand. It is extremely popular and every influencer has it so this makes me feel better

new subscriber and I've been binging a ton of videos. We seriously have the same type of hair. Oily, 2a, fine hair. I'm betting it'll absolutely love proteins too. For FoB you need to choose silicone free on each product separately. I know this was about a year ago, but I figured I'd put that out there. :) Love love love the videos so far. I'm learning so much about my hair.

You’re time is valuable and you don’t have to turn down income just because some people “don’t like it”. While I appreciate unsponsored content it is extremely selfish IMHO for people to expect you to basically donate your time and money to try products for them. I appreciate unsponsored here and there but also have no problem with sponsored reviews!

Oooo! This is a question I get asked about often. This would be a great idea for a video. The honest answer is, it depends! Roughly I will use the products three or four times before I completely give up on them. Trying different techniques to see if I can get them to work for me.

I was a customer of Function of Beauty and liked the products but stopped when I found that they contained silicone. I didn't realise you could request silicone free so I might look at them again. I'm sure they do fragrance free? Thanks for your honest review

I use fob, and I asked them, but unfortunately only the shampoo and conditioner are available silicone free, at least for now. Also, the fob at target is not silicone free, but I did really like it when I tried it.

Interesting! I ordered FoB a few months ago and wasn't thrilled with it- the conditioner was not enough for my hair. Definitely felt like my hair was knottier. Started my wavy hair journey right after and suddenly it's working very well! I got the Lavender scent.

Appreciate your honest review!! I would love to see your opinion after trying it with stylers to see how it affects wave definition, etc. I lOVED my FOB for years, but then I switched to silicone free and started a modified CGM. I have been debating ordering a new silicone free set, just haven't done it yet. I will say, I absolutely love the "nude (p)each" scent ...it is fantastic! I ordered the strongest scent level because I love it so much 🤣.

I never really got around to trying the function of beauty. Seemed gimmicky to me when I first heard of them 5+ years ago. I guess it’s not it’s still around lol. I do like the colors you can choose and also the ingredients are ok

Do you still use FoB? I'm curious because I ordered the shampoo and conditioner about 9 months ago, when I was transitioning back to natural curly hair. I am type 3 and have fine hair. I asked for no silicones and they put it in the formula but I'm almost ok with that now. When I first started loosely following the cgm, I didn't know much about my true hair type because I had always straightened it. I gave away all my products that contained sulfates or silicones and I never found any products (s&s free) I really liked. Two days ago I tried my FoB shampoo and conditioner and I feel like I love it more than anything I've tried in the last 9 months. I'm thinking about repurchasing with different hair goals now that I know more about my hair type. I'm just looking for opinions on silicones and dimethicone in "Clean Products" such as FoB. I used some when I stayed with a friend but we have similar scalp needs and both virgin low porosity hair. It left my hair dry feeling and stringy.
