for me there is a limit of stomach acid and digestive enzymes. this is the reason why i get too tired and hunger is coming too soon again. after taking betaine hcl + pepsin, the protein is getting broken down in amino acids better in my case and these amino acids then get absorbed and result in lowering hunger as they should.

As far as protein that can be taken in for a person for each meal has to vary... All people are different sizes and some just lay around while other bust ass 24/7...makes no sense that all adults can only digest 30 grams of protein per meal... bigger guys that workout and work harder need more protein to stay strong and fit....

There is a limit of how much protein will be used to build muscle. Depending on carb intake some protein will be used for energy and the rest can be stored as fat. If it's been wasted off in the urine that can be problematic.
@walden6272
@walden6272 Жыл бұрын
How can protein be stored as fat?? Protein and fat are too completely different molecules. That's like saying you can store oranges as apples.
@Jeffthedude15
@Jeffthedude15 Жыл бұрын
@@walden6272And carbohydrate isn't a different molecule? Too much Carbohydrate can be stored as fat. The idea is that carbs as well as protein cause the production of insulin. However I am happy you challenged my comment because I've found that there are no studies to support my theory. It has been stated that excess protein can be stored as fat but that probably isn't true. If someone is totally inactive ingesting 5x their body weight then maybe but then again maybe not.
@walden6272
@walden6272 Жыл бұрын
@@Jeffthedude15 Just do your research on this topic, why protein cannot transform into fat. Yes carbohydrate can become fat, they are similar in constructions. Fat is stored energy and carbohydrate is energy.
@Jeffthedude15
@Jeffthedude15 Жыл бұрын
@@walden6272 I should research macros on a molecular level if that is what you mean. What I'm stuck on I guess is how the body responds to each. If you're not getting enough of either carbs or fat for energy the human body will use protein as an energy source which degrades it's use in protein synthesis.
@walden6272
@walden6272 Жыл бұрын
@@Jeffthedude15 You're going off on the wrong topic there. The topic was can protein be converted to fat. And the answer is NO. No matter how much protein you consume, it will not convert to body fat (scientifically impossible). That is why when survivalists who can only eat rabbits, still continue to lose weight despite how much they eat. If your body only consume protein, you will still starve to death. When your body breaks down its own muscles protein, it just a sign of starvation, it doesn't really help the body.

I wouldn’t agree that it’s “irrelevant” where you get your protein. Protein quality matters.
@bryceherring946
@bryceherring946 2 жыл бұрын
Very much agreed, where you get your protein from and the quality could be one of the most important factors, this is the problem when he and others simply lump everything into one category of Protein. High quality animal based protein, otherwise called meat, especially red meat is not the same thing as someone consuming Greek yogurt and hummus but still pointing out that both are "Protein", people who really want to focus on protein quality need to focus on high quality animal meat.
