Thank you so much for this video.. we need more videos, talk shows and interviews on real role models, than the stupid celebrity fight. How is it possible for someone to dislike this video? Yes, the video quality of the interviews could have been much better, but it's great to see the effort put behind something so much important, yet so much neglected by popular media

Good job Funda curry... But one observation of mine was that all successful women are always thankful to their families for supporting them... And they are also very vocal about it... But do successful men naturally tend to praise their families for supporting them? I feel with women it's always something like 'I did it with help' but men just tend to credit themselves only for success....

This video made my day. :) Of course gender bias is a problem in our country.But what about the incentives given by Indian government to research scholars ,are not they lacking as well? Its a shame that most of the female (as well as male) Indian scientists either are NRIs or off and on interns outside India.

Dear friend, science is the world of reasons and logic. And all scientist works only on logic and real statistics. thus male or female dominance doesn't matters here. Now let us come to video. Tim Hunt wanted to clarify just that if work for science, you will have to be full dedication. you can see scientist looks mental and many of them didn't marry because they don't have time for them. working for research is very very tough work. If you want to know go and read quantum field theory and Higgs field . If they will fall in love (which is obvious if you work with a lady who have amazing talents) they would give less time on researches. Second the video about the lady. she told this that many of the male scientist doesn't talk to them. Might be this is because of hesitation as they doesn't have so much interactions to ladies. you know many of them are from time when there not so much interactions male and female. And also they had to dedicate all their time on work. Might be you also had experienced such hesitation while talking to a lady after a long time. And last but not the least please don't judge all by feminism. there might be some different reasons for different reasons. Scientist work on reasons not on myths.

Nikita Rane how cud u get inspired when he says there is no gender equality in science and tech yet? u r Remarkable!
@nikitarane31177 жыл бұрын
Vivek T Donno if I am remarkable or not ..but I surely gravitate to the positive aspects of all things ..the video did highlight the gender inequality in scientific field but at the same time did show us examples of women irrespective of their cultural background making it big in their own way take for example group of simple homemaker women trying to solve their problem of lack of electricity learned about solar power and are now helping others to solve their problems ! that for me sir is inspiring
@vivektam7 жыл бұрын
Nikita Rane alright, ur earlier comment was very vague abt ur inspiration. But i wud have been happy if they hav showed more of such domestic examples rather than NRI stories.
@abhijeetshukla86337 жыл бұрын
Nikita Rane no men are invited to come and invent something....it is there dedication...they hv to strugle...they dont do makeup and want girls to fall for them.. dont make excuse for ur failures..... wether its men or women evryone is responsible for there failure or success...its upon us. ..if u do something good and usefull u will recognised and will be appreciated.. dont blame society... if u r come to men...men hv more responsibility....whether is social or domestic...k.. if we are encourage u girls..and gives more importance than us to encourage u. so dont mislead...and go do smthing despite of following such videos..if u do good thing u will success one day...no matter ur girl or boy...

i really feel one thing that there are lots of loop holes in our process of upbringing.i really don't get the purpose of fairy tales. princess are in some sort of problem, one-day one prince comes and marries the princess and they live happily ever after.. i mean seriously??? as if there is no other purpose of a woman other than to marry to gain her fulfilment in life
@somamondal22897 жыл бұрын
you r right. many girls think that way but not all thats what i said that we brought up our child in a very wrong way. we gift our girl child a doll and not a remote control car. it penetrates in their mind that they are meant to take care of babies and not control any ekectronic gadgets

Maybe women don't like Science and Tech as much in India ?? Ever considered that possibility, bro ?? Not everything needs feminism. There are other, more plausible ways to explain the situation. I'm all for women empowerment. But you're not trying to decipher the stats correctly in my opinion. We should really stop portraying the naari as abla, because she's not. A woman is a pillar of strength that the society stands on.

One of my professors and his students went to a women's college to demonstrate the pros and cons of robots and AI. Most of those robots were small. The first thing most of the girls said after seeing the robots are "Wow! these robots are so cute". Infact, only 2 out of 150 women showed any interest in the field. Similar incident also happened in an US university. Let's accept it. Women don't do good in research and engineering because most of them don't want to.
@jwolverine106 жыл бұрын
That is the main cause, if any one don't want nothing to do. Otherwise nothing with gender differentiation.
@GauravSingh-jh4gp6 жыл бұрын
If this "don't want to" comes naturally, then of course nothing can be done. But not all of it is natural (or biological). A lot of it is cultural and societal, which is the main issue.
