I love the color theory... ties everything together... if that's all I take from this edition my builds will look that much better... other than that... details, details, details... you make it look so easy... lolol... I wonder how many hours you've logged in over the years... too many to count I bet... as always, thanks for the tips and the inspiration... you make even the most mundane of assembly steps come to life...

The decal stripe gives a nice touch to the interior and keeps it within the color range like you said. Great video Donn. Have a great weekend buddy. Terry

Excellent work. The three color rule is a great rule, and painting the underside body color is a great idea. I usually only do that on Mopars, but I’ll do it in everything from now on. Great detail work on the steering wheel. Something I’ll do from now on. Thanks for sharing.

Ha I love you keep the pieces in a box. With cats running around my house there is NO WAY I could do that! I enjoy your videos and appreciate the time you take to make them. Thanks!

I used stretched sprue out of the kit box for spark plug wires! First time I got first place in box stock @ an I P M S contest ! Painted them black and bazinga! Plus they laid on the engine nicely without being kinky looking.

Sup bro!! Congrats on your win!! And if you have an old phone charger cable or anything electronic that doesnt work, you can get perfect size wires out of things like that for spark plug wires, master cylinder etc etc,i took apart a remote control car that died and BAM!! Wire jackpot!! I have to say though i admire your determination in stretching plastic man, thats intense lol be cool bro

Box stock has to be out of the box only. Hence the stretched sprue.😎

Your tips have helped me in the past to make my models better each build. Although I dont enter my cars in contests, I do have a kit that I am going to consider entering in a local autorama next year, and hope that I can achieve the level worthy of entering into a contest. A Buick GS, I owned one back in the day and plan to re create it. Need your DVDs!

I think the color theory is the most important because you see the colors first and only then do you look at the small details and accessories.

On a box-stock build, are there written guidelines somewhere that indicate what you can and cannot do ( like I like to drip some Elmer's glue to simulate a glass bezel over the gages)

High level real car builders do alot of the same techniques for show cars. Interesting info though, I should say I have been doing that for years now too.

I made a paint order error. I sprayed fluorescent red (Tamiya TS-36) on a body and need the nose of the car to be white. What’s the best way to get it the right color with out bleeding through?
