These two videos on consolidation really hit home with me. The more boxes I can take off of the shelves, the more shelf space I make for display. The more parts that I find I will not ever use, can find new homes, in turn, making more part space.

No doubt, it is an interesting idea. Space can be a real premium. If only I didn't love the box art so much... For me, the box art is what says "build me next!" from the shelf. Thanks again for your insights,

The box art is what's killing me, too. One solution would be to condense the boxes too by folding them on the seams and sliding them into the bags. But then it's no longer a cool box. Back to square one....

@@tomserafini9957 Yup. The box is a big part of the draw I guess (I recognize that Donn made it clear that this method is not for everyone). For me it probably goes back to being in a hobby shop as a kid and not being able to afford any of the amazing boxed kits. Now, I flatten the top art portion of a box after a build and keep them in a stack. Some day, they'll be a nerdy wall treatment and I'll stare for hours. KIt sprues and parts can look abstract in a bag, the box art allows them to show a little leg.

@@speedingjet I thought I was the only one who had a neatly folded stack of boxes sitting like a row of encyclopedias on a shelf. Also, with the same intention of someday wallpapering an entire wall with them so I can stare at all the gloriousness.

I'm glad guys didn't store kits like this years ago or we wouldn't have all the factory SEALED vintage kits nowadays. Of course box art on these new kits belong in the trash anyway. Me personally I'd never store kits this way I like them to remain in factory packaging until I'm ready to build it.

Hey old man, what are your thoughts on the recent releases from Atlantis? Jungle Jim Funny Car, 57 Chevy, etc.. kits with fitment issues for sure even after Atlantis ‘freshened then up’. I want to hear your thoughts on model companies seeming to not take pride in correcting known issues with older kits and just fixing few things here and there and rereleasing them.

Two questions Mr Yost, one is what kind of (Bondo)do they have for styrene and the other is do they have a formula for figuring out scale to 1/24-1/25?
