I think about death a lot like you, and just like you've explained, the fear is intrusive but it helps me enjoy life and not take time for granted. It's a double edged sword.

It really is a double edged sword. I have OCD so I end up getting a lot of images of death shooting at me when I don't ask for it, but when I let them pass and don't focus on them, life really shines and it's rather nice.
