Funeral Thank You Etiquette

This video discusses how during times of loss and grief, we give the deceased's family grace to say "thank you" in a manner and timing that is comforting to them.
Traditional etiquette dictates that any gift/act of kindness be acknowledged promptly, but etiquette can adapt to the occasion as an art. In the event of a loved one's funeral, the mourning family determines the timing and the manner of appreciation for the kindness they received during their time of grief. In other words, the family sets how and when they can deliver their gratitude for all the love and support in its myriad forms; food, cards, donations, flowers, visits, and other offerings of sympathy.

I agree. There is shouldn’t be a timeline or requirement on receiving a “Thank You” on a funeral situation. Nice but not required.

Hello! Yes, I agree! I have a dear friend, who is recently lost her husband to cancer, and is thanking people in her own way in her own time as it’s possible for her.
