Woodstock happened in Bethel not Woodstock! :) The whole town has just piggybacked on the idea that it happened there. It was supposed to happen there but they wouldn't allow it. So it happened on a farm in Bethel-- there's a really cool museum in Bethel you should check out! But how long will you be in Woodstock? Also, you should go to the Woodstock film festival! I go every year and it's amazing!

I grew up in Eugene, OR and the vibe is so much like this! Some cool places to go around it are the country fair, brightonbush hot springs, and lots of small hikes. It's pretty temperate weather too. Love your channel Louie! :)

I would totally recommend San Luis Obispo if you are looking for a chill vibe city that doesn't get too cold! The whole city is centered around a university, but the college brings a great community feeling and everybody is so kind! They also have some amazing trees if you're looking to still build that magical treehouse of yours lol

Actually, Ojai is 90 miles from LA, and has a small population of about 7,500 people, an old farming town with lots of peaceful hippies. And there are plenty of fun little towns in Wine Country up north in Napa Valley. St. Helena and Calistoga are amazing towns. Not hippy towns, though.

Hey Louie, the summer of love (1967) in San Francisco's Haight Ashbury district (and Golden Gate Park where you Boasted Boarded last month) was the start of the peace and love moment. This is where hundreds of thousands of young people from all over the U.S. and world moved to San Francisco and started the hippie movement. By 1969 it spread across the country and world, including to Woodstock.

Pretty neat town. New York is full of awesome places. Just north of Manhattan is Sleepy Hollow (the town that Washington Irving's short story is based on). Went there last fall. Fun stuff!

Hey Louie, next time your in Cali about an 45min to 1hr outside of LA there is a awesome little city called Claremont it's off the 10 freeway right past the 57 freeway! They have an old town area that is ALL YOU!

The Woodstock Festival was actually in Bethel, NY about 60 miles SW of Woodstock. It was named for the company (Woodstock Ventures) that organized the festival.
