I recently tried your Vanicream recommendation instead of ketoconazole (since I had prescription strength and it did nothing), and the difference after one wash was shocking. I can’t believe I had to go through this for 10 years with no relief. I am immunocompromised so I am going to bring this up with my immunologist and ID doctors! I may need extra treatment, but just this first step and seeing my closer to my normal face and hair (and having the inflammatory reactions lessen significantly immediately) in the mirror after 10 years has given me hope I’ve finally found the problem.

I had an issue with yeast on my skin causing discoloration (tinea versicolor I think?) 10+ years ago and was prescribed 3 bottles (I only used 1/2 bottle) of 1% ketoconazole. Only to realize I had it sitting in my shower from the start with the Nizoral shampoo.

I had tinea versicolor too! I took and oral medication for a week and it cleared up in 3 weeks I think?

@@dangodawn4572 I got those products from Amazon. The best product my son tried for acne face is "acne free" bar. But better to get the washing gel. More convenient for kids. But I told my son to use CeraVe foaming Facial cleaner too. As the "acne free" bar or gel can't be used daily as the skin will be too dry. And the Peter Thomas Roth mask is great. Every time my son put it on. His acne, very big ones can be gone very fast. On the other hand, the Paula choice BHA also works for my son. But the z-bar is just mild wash. Not really work. For hair, the Nizoral is very good. Reduce the grease hair matter. CeraVe produces has been introduced by Dr Locke with her other video clip. worth to give it a try. Hope my reply can help. Good day

I was diagnosed with fungi on my face, and the doctor prescribed Nizoral Cream for treatment. After applying the cream on my whole face, my face got extremely itchy and irritated, redness... after that my doctor prescribed Itraconazole tablets 100mg (2 times/day), but it seems no use, I've been taken them for more than 2 weeks but the ances have no change. really frustrated.

pls help! so i am following your complete skin care routine for dark spots, and also the vanicream shampoo, so specifically morning: -cerave se cleanser morning -paulas choice boost 10% azelaic acid -elf holy hydration night: -cerave cleanser -cerave resurfacing retinol serum -cerave renewing night cream and it seems my fungal acne has gotten worse, when would i incorporate the sulfur mask and what products would be used before and after it? thanks so much!

hey! I know it's been a year but if this helps, the elf holy hydration and basically all the other cerave products aren't fungal acne safe. Maybe that's why it has gotten worse.

Im still wondering if what I have is malassezia on my face, I got it a year ago. my face became bumpy and rough, and theres also some small white hard beads/grains that I can feel everytime I run my fingers on my forehead or cheeks. Most of the times it comes off while I wash my face and it can easily be removed because it sticking out of my face.

Unfortunately the Dandruff shampoo made my son’s face burn 🔥 so we had to stop using it! I just used a gentle cleanser, hydrogen peroxide and healing salve and it cleared up his fungal acne

Hi, im very upset with this fungal acne. I stopped all of my fungal acne safe products for 4days and it cleared up but after trying it again. Boom in just 1 day it came back!!!! Can fungal acne be on the cheeks/hairline? None on forehead or chin. Just those areas. Itchy at times and acne treatments that usually work for me aren’t working 🥹 bout to start a fungal acne routine and see if that helps! No, you don't have to. But fungal acne happens because of your lifestyle. So when the acne starts again try to use fungal acne suitable products to not make them worse.

I never had acne until I started exercising regularly. After multiple dermatologist visits. Thinking it was hormonal cystic acne. Finally a walk-in clinic tells me it’s fungal because it itches and hurts. I’m on D2 with using the correct products and already I see a difference, knock on wood. But everything I was using to clear up what I thought was acne was not fungal safe. This has been the most mentally draining experience.

Nizoral 1% ketoconazole is not available in my country. So I used the 2% ketoconazole Nizoral and now acne is showing up like crazy on all over my face😭

Make sure you aren’t leaving the ketoconazole on for longer than 15 minutes, stay away from perioral area, and follow up with a super rich moisturizer such as CeraVe moisturizing cream. If this isn’t clearing it up, it isn’t fungal acne.

These are too much and harsh on your facial skin and will irritate your skin. Just use salicylic acid face wash and toner will help for fungal acne
