One time, when I was at the mall, I accidentally tried to steal a used PS game. I had picked up the empty display box and was walking around the store with it. I got all the way back to my car before I realized I was still carrying it. The store probably laughed their asses off at me for trying to steal an empty box, but I wasn't even trying to do that. Not my best moment, for sure.

Stealing stuff out of garages has consequences. I work with financial & business-related insurances & I once saw someone turned down for coverage specifically because they stole beer from a garage when they were 19 & got the book thrown at them by the police. Even 15 years later they were still being denied professional licensing and their company couldn't insure that person under their liability protections despite a clean record since.
