Hey Sagea, have you been able to hit some altissimo with the Emeo. I have fingering for E3, F3, and G3 but can't figure out fingerings for F#3. Any ideas for that? Thanks.

Hi Al Fisher, Yes, I am not a master in altissimo Emeo or acoustic Alto Sax but no I have no problem performing F#3, there are 7 or 8 ways to do it. Personally I use the octave key, Eb, D, F high keys and the additional F# key. I didn't try again with SWAM because I now use V-Horns Alto Sax, even more realistic and with many more possibilities. Be careful to put the EMEO in the octave register of the VST used. We cannot use for example SWAM Alto or V-Horns Alto leaving the EMEO in a Tenor register. Bye

Thanks. I am using SWAM tenor and have it set at -2 to avoid having to mess with modifying the Emeo to Bb every time I turn it on. With this setup I can get some real nice sounding lows and I am able to get high D# (D#3) through High F (F3). I can also get high G (G3). For the life of me, can't figure out how to get the high F# (F#3) and that's where my problem lies. I don't think there is or am not aware of an high F# key for the Emeo. @@sagea1107

Have you found a way to bypass the system Bluetooth. If so what are you using to create a virtual MIDI cable between your EMEO and your computer or Mac? I have the CME WIDI Host and the CME WIDIBUD but cannot for the life of me get them to work. I have been able to connect using the EMEO bluetooth to Mac system bluetooth but it is subject to freezing up at times which is unacceptable in the live setting which I am striving for. I have NOT been able to connect bluetooth EVER using Windows. Thank for any help you might provide…. 😎

Hi, no unfortunately I have not found any solutions to use the BT on PC. Currently impossible with W10 and less on W11, because Microsoft has removed BLE. Apparently possible under W7 and 8 but without me. I also tried with the same Key and BLE box as you but impossible to pair the EMEO. I contacted EMEO, they confirmed that the problem came from Windows and that the developers were aware of the problem but did nothing. Only Android or Ios solution. bye

@@sagea1107 Ok. I wish that Pandora MIDIbeam made a USB MIDI product. The MIDIbeam is wonderful and reliable but they only come with 9 pin MIDI connectors. I have written them but as of yet not gotten a reply. I will continue to try and figure out how to make these CME WIDI products work. Their technical support people claim it should but so far I haven’t had any luck….. Thanks

If you are talking about the "response" of the EMEO, perfectly if the VSTi is well suited to breath controllers (EWI). For the vibrato you have to be cunning is not to do it with the lips but with differences of breath

They marketed it as a "practice" instrument. I see no reason why it cannot be used live. Im really curious how well it handles altissimo. And can it transpose to different keys like a digital piano?

@@JasonWelchMusic The reason is simple, there is no internal sound like an EWI 4000 or 5000, Aerophone, or the YDS150 from Yamaha. I only have a USB or BT midi controller. Without a computer, tablet or Smartphone, it will not be able to work. It handles perfectly the Altissimo like a real saxophone but of course according to the VST used, for example with SAWM "Saxophone". It transposes in Eb, Bb or C to adapt to the type of saxophone or to go down or up two octaves. You can find the doc or ask questions at EMEO, they respond very quickly and really on top of all questions. Personally, I had EWI Akai (4000, 5000 and still currently a USB), an Aerophone AE10 and AE30, I tried a Yamaha in store. Nothing beats the quality of the EMEO for Saxophone training but it does not replace a real saxophone but to be able to play at night without noise to train or learn a piece, it's magic kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYK6qI16lqaobac PS : I also use my EMEO live on my MPC One and on my synthesizers

@@JasonWelchMusic It comes with the VST Respiro EMEO PC/ Mac and Iphone (No Android version currently). Specially developed with EMEO. Really exceptional but no sound other than synthetic sounds. It is compatible with USB Midi HOST modules (USB to Midi Midi) and can therefore be used with racks such as the Roland Fantom XR and the very well-known PATCHMAN sound banks or the first YAMAHA Midi Racks for breath controllers
