The Marvel characters used to belong to 20th Century Fox, but then Fox got bought out by Disney in 2019, so all rights transferred to them. This isn't a parody; Deadpool is just like that. He knows perfectly well that he is a comic book character, which causes many of the people around him to think he is crazy, which is not helped by him actually being a bit unhinged. He is canonically pansexual, meaning that he is attracted to people of all gender, races, orientation, and planetary origin. And his body is basically ravaged by cancer, the only reason he is alive is due to his regeneration. He first appeared in Marvel's New Mutants #98, which holds a prized place in my comic book collection.

In the comics Deadpool doesn't become immortal until later on after he is cursed with immortality by Thanos. Both characters where in love with the female embodiment of Death. But Death was in love with Deadpool so Thanos cursed him so they could never be together.

Fun fact: The villain in this movie also plays Daario Naharis in Game of Thrones. Marvel comics was going bankrupt and to save the company they licensed out the film rights to certain characters. New Line Cinema got "Blade", Universal got the "Hulk", SONY got "Spider-Man", Fox got the "X-Men". Deadpool was under the mutant umbrella so he went to SONY. In 2019 Disney acquired Fox so now the X-Men, Deadpool and all mutants are back with MARVEL STUDIOS.

Basically all you need to know is this: - Marvel was bankrupt in the 90’s so they sold many characters rights for films (So Studio owns the live action films but not the merchandise or comics and cartoons) - They sold to many different studios, but the major ones were FOX, Sony, and Universal - They Sold Spider-Man to Sony who makes all the movies and games, but around 2015 they made a deal to share partnership so Tom Holland Spider-Man can be in the MCU. - Marvel sold X-Men, Wolverine, Deadpool, Fantastic Four, and Daredevil and others to FOX - Marvel sold Hulk to Universal (They co-produced The Incredible Hulk movie but never again because Marvel doesn’t want to split the profit, they could put Hulk in any other character’s movie or show but Universal has the rights for Solo movies still until this day) - Disney and Universal helped produced Marvel Movies for Iron Man and Incredible Hulk in 2008, after the success, Disney bought Marvel for BILLIONS. - After many years later, after successes like the Avenger movie, they started buying characters rights back. Specially smaller ones. - Then around 2017 Disney bought FOX, so now Disney owns most characters like Deadpool. Characters like Deadpool can now meet Iron man for example, when previously they couldn’t. - Sony Spider-Man sharing deal still stand for until like 2026, where Marvel and Sony must negotiate again (it was extended around 2020) - Universal still playing hardball with any Hulk movies. Fun fact deadpools swords are ment to be used with 2 hands and duel wielding them is unconventional as there’s no pommel on a katana to stop them from slipping out of the users hands and the weight of a katana makes it hard to manipulate with one hand. Because deadpool can regenerate and can’t die he’s somewhat immune to the consequences of duel wielding katanas

Just some info: Marvel Comics was an incredibly popular comic book company first, headed and popularized by the work of Stan Lee since 1961 (he had a cameo in all the MCU films until his death, including this one that's not in the MCU). The character rights and creative rights later got bought out by various studios over the years (from Blade with New Line Cinema, to Spider-Man/Venom with Sony, etc.) to adapt them to film. I say that to clarify that Marvel was a property long before Disney got their hands on it to bring it to film. Might help explain why some people get so butthurt when directors/mega-companies do wrong by their long-loved characters they grew up with. Deadpool was one I grew up with, but he was butchered in 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine.' Ryan Reynolds finally discovered the comic books and became a fan of DP after a producer turned him on to the character. Since he pushed so hard to get this project out, I finally got what I always wanted since I was a kid: the real Deadpool brought to life. These movies do it right, and are about as true to the comics as you can get nowadays.

2:59 it is now both, without getting too carried away Marvel sold its live action right(movies) of characters to a handful of studios, Fox bought Fantastic Four, X-men and deadpool, Sony bought Spider-Man, Industrial Studios bought Hulk, and a handful of independent studios bought tiltes like Blade, Daredevil and GhostRider. All of which had to make movies within a certain timeframe or they lose the ownership rights, thats why all the fantastic four movies sucked they made the movie too keep the rights not too make money, but thats why Marvel got Blade, Daredevil and GhostRider back even though those Movies aren't MCU properties.

-Okay, real quick, back in '98, i think, marvel studios began selling off characters to others studio for a substantial amount of money to fund other projects i.e. Iron Man, catptian America. -Marvel sold characters like the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Deadpool, Cable, etc to Fox (21st Century) Studios, so they made the X-Men movies and Deadpool. -Marvel also sold Hulk and several Hulk characters and villians to Universal Studios, and they made the stand alone Hulk movies. -Marvel sold Spiderman and several Spiderman related characters to Sony Pictures, then they made all the Spider-Man movies excluding the ones involved with the MCU. -And as of recently, Marvel bought out Fox for the X-Men characters including Deadpool to input them into the MCU, i dont know about Hulk and Universal Studios, but Marvel is fighting to obtain Spiderman back from Sony, so all Marvel characters can exist harmoniously under one cinematic universe, there you're relatively caught up. (Unless i left something out, but thats the gist)

@AkinReacts Back in the 90's Marvel comics was facing bankruptcy and in order to save themselves they sold the rights of some of their characters to different movie studios. 20th century fox bought the rights to the fantastic 4 and the X-men along with all the characters that are involved with those two superhero teams. It's just like how Sony bought Spider-Man along with all the characters linked to his stories. Disney already bought what was left of Marvel and then slowly started buying out 20th century fox for the pass couple of years and that is how Disney got deadpool, the fantastic 4, and the X-men back into Marvel buy simply buying 20th century fox. They also ended up buying everywhere property that fox owned such as the predator and alien movie franchises along with hulu too.

Marvel is a comic book company. In the 80's they got in big financial trouble. So the sold off the TV and movie rights to most of their characters. Different studios owned different teams or characters and mostly just sat on them for years. But some non Disney other studio movies were made like this one by Fox. Disney came along and bought Marvel giving Disney a few characters to use. Then Disney bought all the movie studios that owned the rights to all the Marvel characters with them getting control of all the Mutant characters in the last few years when the bought Fox. Now only Spiderman and characters related to him are not owned by Disney. However that studio has been renting Spiderman to Disney for the Avengers movies.

7:45 its an okay entrance, the DP and Wolverine now that was a great entrance. IMO the best superhero entrance has been Blade. Second would be Hellboy. 9:03 welcome to the dark side of Marvel. Alongside Deadpool's R-rated behavior you have Punisher, Venom, Wolverine, Moon Knight who are just a few of the more famous anti-heroes of Marvel who a lot of fans want their films/tv shows to be R-Rated because they are known to get their hands bloody at times because sometimes doing the right things requires killing. Heck even Captain America will kill. Daredevil sometimes gets close but like Spidey he has a no kill rule. I really hope and advise you react to X-Men, Fantastic Four (at least the first film up to you if you want to do the sequel and the remake), Daredevil and Elektra (Elektra has her own film but she first shows in DD), and Blade. I don't recall if you've seen any of the last four but highly highly recommend doing them before Deadpool and Wolverine. As for the X-Men there are a lot of references to them in Deadpool 2 and characters from First Class show in it as well. Mutants in Marvel world- on their DNA helix is a gene that is shaped like an X. They are born with this gene. Mutates are people who have an outer stimulate that affects them and gives them powers- Daredevil, Luke Cage, Spider-man. The X-Men films have some low points but overall really great films and they are finally getting mutants into the MCU.

Bro we got 300 Million + population, one of the most populated countries in the world, most if not counting Asian countries. For how many guns we have here, Our Gun Violence is not as much as you’d think. Not getting political but it’s just a movie. Let them watch it, without shaming them for it.

More than a million people have guns in civilian hands. Yet: the usual police don’t have guns. Only the special forces. Germany: they have guns, the police. It’s not a small country, 84 million. UK has 70 million. Yet: 8 people were shot by police last year in Germany. In USA 1163. You have only 3.5x more population. USA has the highest rate in imprisonment in every modern country. You basically love to lock up anyone. And in top of that the worst rate in falling back to crime in those who get out. Your prisons are almost as bad as the ones in Latin America so it has 0 positive effects on the criminals instead they prob learn more from other dangerous criminals. But 2nd amendment… the most important one to get a gun at teen age. Do you know what is one of the requirements in our countries? You have give a valid reason why do you need. “I want to protect myself” is not one. It’s bullsh.. you would be immediately banned. For example you are a hunter. Ok. That’s a good reason. Then the police will check on you regularly that you are really a hunter. Even before you get your license, you should have a storage unit and a membership in the hunter club with a shooting certificate that you can handle the rifle perfectly, plus a medical certificate from a physical examination and a mental evaluation. ☝️ See why we don’t have these shootings randomly? Then the police attitude vs you against the police and the world… Americans have a real arrogance… when you don’t even have a lot of things resolved: paid vacation, paid healthcare, paid bank holidays, by the law… we have 20 days minimum EU regulated… paid maternity leave 3-54 weeks depends on country and that’s by the law not the company… so when you come to Europe and you get full treatment and then you don’t pay 2k for an ambulance… then… The police officers don’t use force to resolve issues but the citizens won’t be aggressive with them either. They are there to help, you can ask them to give directions where to go in the city they won’t think you approach with some bad intentions… they won’t touch their weapons… they might stop you on the road and you can step out from the car without issues. ☝️you really should watch some videos about Europe… learn a bit about the world….
