I clicked on this video just to read the hate comments. There really aren't that many. All of the anti electric fence "cruelty to animal" comments are uninformed emotional nonsense. There's no pain in electric fence shock. I've been hit with a hot shot fence designed to keep a bull in, it's a jolt and a surprise, but no pain. I also read where people say that once the cats get shocked they don't come back. That's not true at all. Cats don't generally learn. Electric fences are an effective containment for pigs and other farm animals but even farm cats, around the fences all the time, still don't figure it out and eventually will go back and get shocked over and over again. I've always wondered why. We kept cats on the farm to keep the mice and rats down. But now having seen video of terriers and other small dog breeds absolutely devastate huge rat infestations in a matter of minutes, I wished we'd had terriers instead. Only benefit to the cats was we let them run and didn't feed them much. They ate what they killed.

@@MaSter-mw3rb My wife is also very allergic, and I had to cut down, and trim all of the trees, and put rollers on the fence to keep them off of the roof, where the air conditioner picks up the smell. Also when it rains, it washes the poop and urine, all over the place.

​@@MaSter-mw3rb There are several variations that you can use, but I used the cheapest and simplest way with stuff that I already had. I used about 5 feet of 1-1/2 inch PVC pipe, and put caps on the ends. I then drilled a hole in the middle of each cap, and stuck some heavy wire in the ends, and then bent the wire to form an "L" and then attached the wire to the fence, so that the PVC is about an inch or so above the fence, using some screw clamp that I had, but you could use bolts, and wrap the wire around them. This is not real strong, and they have knocked it down a few times, but is is easy to put back. If you need it to be stronger, then something heavier, that is shaped in a "L". I have been shocked be pulsating electric fences many times. There is no pain, only a jolt of surprise. Very seldom the same cat will get close to the brightly colored wire again, for at least a few months. With 30 to 40 feral cats around it makes them poop in some other yard.

@@MrDidrill Great job! The cats pissing and crapping in my yard aren't even feral. They are neighbors cats and they let them out and those cats NEVER destroy their own yard. I didn't like cats in the best of times, due to my allergy, but I am actually starting to hate them.

@@stephaniezimbalist3757 Fucking cats are pests the neighbours cat nextdoor keeps coming to my garden shitting all over the place and the owners won't even feed their own cat so they beg us instead, we don't own the cat we don't have to look after the cat and we just moved in a few months ago. The cats are annoying hopefully someone drives a car over them soon
