Yo I gotta comment cause it’s driving me crazy but has anyone else had a bug that makes necromorphs disappear? In my game I could hear it yelling and walking and I even found it. It would move me and occasionally attack but it barely even attacked much. I just started punching and stomping and eventually a item appeared but still no necromorph. Had me laughing my ass off while being terrified that I couldn’t see it😂😂😂

I think the big oversight 'is someone coming from a writer' is if you read some of the text logs people dont do logical normal human things inresponse to events, the biggest one I found is when the valor shows up and if you read the text log the valor is a covernt ops ship sent on a strike mission where in the text is says there is a very good chance that the infection has already broken out and to processed with extreme caution but the first thing they do is bring on a escape pod and open it with no regard. In the original it made sense because the valor was simply responding to a distress signal and had no idea what was going on but in the new version they were sent there and were waiting on the edge of the system and fully new what was going on and what marker version what was siting on the planet.

They were waiting for Kendra to signal them to find the ishumura, the escape pod being launched and the infection breaking out was pretty much the only reason they didn’t just gun Isaac down It legit feels like people are reaching for things to complain about at this point, or they don’t know the original as well as they think they do

But in that event it still doesn't make sense for a covert ops unit with full knowledge of the marker can do , to just pop open an escape pod with no precautions taken, no quarantine, nothing at all. On top of that this military vessel full of marines got taken out by one necromorph, with all their armor and pulse rifles that shouldn't have been a issue unless they were taken by surprise but that brings me back to my original point, either the crew of the Valor is incompetent or its a forced plot to keep the story moving.

The detail is insane in the remake. Screams during the death animations isnt as scary as it was in the original whenever isaac was being torn apart. But regardless the new ai director is insanely awesome. I love the randomized spawns. Think about what they can do with the sprawl if a second remake ever happened like exploration inside the sprawl and outside with E.V.A.s if you get sucked out ( and survive the door airlock closing and have to find another way back in) also let's not forget the scratched enemy variants they added in extraction

As a game dev I can say I've definitely had the times where I wanted to fill put a text box with something that would never be read but wanted to look filled anyway and I do this too. My issue was Isaac not having a turning animation and no quick turn. If you move the camera to look behind you and aim issac just snap into position. His head doesn’t move with the camera his whole body does but when you turn the camera and move his body just snaps forward… it’s kinda weird and hard to explain

Idk, this feels like an intentional nod to something significant to their work, especially since they seem to have deliberately used a small detail to do it through so it wouldn’t be too intrusive. Most stuff like this I’ve seen that does use random text to give the appearance of something being written has used like just random letters thrown together or made up symbols to look like generic writing. If this weren’t intentional, I honestly doubt they’d include any actual text at all.

Guys, guys, so in this remake of a game from 2008, that once had levels but has been reconfigured, into one large to-scale spaceship in greater detail than ever before, your character wears this futuristic engineering space suit that looks photo-realistic in the right lighting, details down to the level of the white of your fingernails, for comparison. On this suit that has more polygons than most games 10 years ago, there is a little screen on your chest, right? Yeah, yeah, the game is in 3rd person, over the shoulder, y'know. Anyway, there is this screen on your chest, and, and you can read the constantly cycling text, but it's just Loreum Upsum. Their priorities, were very clearly, misplaced. Outrageous, 5/10, and that's being generous. Suffice to say, I am returning my copy, and boycotting the company on Twitter until they fix it. This is so small I barely care, but hey, it's there, and I didn't even know it *had* text on it! That's impressive in itself to me! I'm just joking around, cool fact tho

I got a proper oversight for you; put on the Military RIG in NG+, then after getting the Kinesis module pay close attention to the little grey doo-dad part of it on Isaac's forearm. Rather than moving normally like it does on all the other suits, the Kinesis moduel on the Military RIG twists and contorts out of shape when isaac rotates his wrist or moves his hand.

IF that is an oversight and not the obvious oversight that is the laser sights. Disappointing. However after playing hte remake, I am excited for 2 remake.

...This isnt an oversight. They just wanted to fill a small detail with text. An oversight would be a mistake thats been looked over, like a wall that has no collision or a game mechanic not functioning as advertised. This is just the same technique a lot of devs do to fill in random bits of text.

Ehhh it's not noticeable tbh and most people wouldn't think to try and look that close to find that tbh lol I mean some people would out of curiosity but I personally didn't care. I knew it was the gibberish writing like in the first game 😂

Oversight? You literally said you have to manipulate the camera and position it just right to read it. I’d give them a pass for having the visual of scrolling text vs someone spending time trying to zoom and angle to read it.

It would have been a cool Idea that after a certain point in the game, it could say continously "Make us whole. Make us whole. Make us whole. Make us whole."

I kinda like it though because since its just repeating code place holder text it just makes it seem more in place with him being insane like its nonsense text he's reading but we know Isaac's lost his mind so he's just endless reading things that aren't there likey repeating the markers madness back to himself over and over again
