Great little meet Matt, wish I could have made it, but think I would have had to leave at 3am to get down! Nice to see Richard the owner of the Accord trying to keep up with me and the stickers! Some great cars in attendance, think my favourite has to as well as the Crown Vic has to be the little Proton! Looks like I will have to make a trip to Gilks at some point.

Superb venue and great gathering with a rich variety of cars. Such a friendly bunch of people. Food as you rightly mentioned was excellent. The Corsa only became roadworthy again days before the event and was so glad to get there. I spent a lot of time with my relatives that live nearby whom I’ve not seen for a while so a huge bonus. I know my Uncle left you details of the Rover Sports Register. 😊

I very nice selection of cars. There was a Tempra at a Fiat event at The Motorist and I have no shame in admitting that I was more excited by the Tempra than anything else there. 😅 The Mk3 Astra is a real find with such low milage, didn't know Chris had bought that but any of his cars I've seen have always looked to be the very best of examples. It's great that you included a short tour of the venue as I've not seen inside the building on any other video. The Xsara VTS is a pretty rare car now, even the post facelift model like this one. I'm with you on the 156 interior, absolutely stunning. That Alto may be small but I bet you could spend ages looking at all those period accessories.

Great turn out, and plenty of nice fiat's, Do like the alto as my sister had one with a brown interior and 3 speed auto. The hunter is perfect also 🤗👍. Fairplay to junior for manning the stall, hard to get kids to do anything these days.

I can say, there's not a single car i would not watch your review... Saab, Alfas and the Volvo are my fav of this "parking" but i think we all need another Tempra review (especially because this one seems very well kept) That silver 156 is identical to mine (but i have the 1.8 and a bit less equipped). Always a joy to see a sister of your car

Great meet ! Unfortunately with my 75 out of commission since pol a 30 minute brake job on my S-Type ended up into a 6h fight with frozen calipers and couldn't make it

That 75 has some extremely rare ZT alloys, they were option only on the 120 for some strange reason. Shame it's a diesel, the M47 has an awful lot of annoying issues. I've never had a good experience with them, I'll stick to the 1.8T myself!

Hi, the 75 belongs to a friend of mine. Got to agree about that oil burner. I was there in my S Type because my 2L V6 Cowley car is off the road at the mo.

You were about 30 minutes from where I live and I had no idea! I would've bought my 308 GTi 270 (which I've just bought on Wednesday) if I knew. I was spending yesterday tearing around the cotswolds twisties so I was probably very close to where you were at some point. Also that Xsara is very cool, invokes memories of watching WRC as a kid.

Sorry to have missed it too. Looks like a cracking day out. I got rather excited when I spotted that Fiat Tempra too. Another car that seems to have vanished. Must get to Gilks some time too. I'm long overdue a visit to Gaydon again as well

Hunter GLS was an acceleration savage. Holbay obviously means jet propelled in English. In 1974 this thing seemed to time travel. 0 to 100 mph plus well inside of 1 mile. Awesome. Sadly, that particular Gold one that I was speaking of was written off. Happily, it was replaced with a Brown metallic one with a brown vinyl roof and Stalk activated Overdrive.

I've owned and adored both a red Spitfire and an Alfa 147 but that little Suzuki is the car I'd take home. The dashboard in the Hunter wouldn't look out of place in an Italian supercar from the 60s, what a surprise.

Citroën VRT complete with centre less wheel rims (ie you need a special adapter to fit to a wheel balancing machine when you put tyres on..... Peugeot did the same with the 306. Very French thinking!!!! 🤣🤣👍👍

Classic British sportscars always look far, far better with a set of wire wheels on them, modern alloys just don't look quite right. I know it's a whole weekend to clean them properly, it was never a chore for me even though mine had been stove enamelled and not Chrome ones, those would not have suited the car, too garish on a Riley saloon from the 30's. The ones on my Sunbeam Alpine were silver unfortunately, couldn't afford to get them chromed in the mid 70's, another economically disastrous time.

Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!!!!

Seems a ridiculous time frame when EV cars are not yet fully developed. What is going to happen to all those engineers/mechanics/factories and stores that supply replacement parts such as water pumps, clutches - transmissions-radiators- exhausts - - 12v batteries engine repairs etc.
