Two of my favorite musicians. There aren't always good results when "living legends" play together, but Jorma and Lindley have good chemistry, and this was a very nice collaboration.

I only discovered David Lindley last week, not realizing I had heard him play on a gazillion recordings by other artists, doing licks that are in my DNA. Just an incredible musician, as is Jorma. I at least saw Jorma once, at the Further Festival, Alpine Valley, 1996. I was stunned. He opened with a song I knew from Dave Van Ronk - That'll Never Happen No More - a version I can only describe as Zen in its directness and focus. Probably one of my top five musical moments. Los Lobos at the same concert doing Bertha was right up there as well.

I saw Kaleidoscope a couple times in the 60s. Have only seen David a couple times since, with Jackson. I have been following his masterful music all along. This video is a case in point.
