2014 ford escape. Aug 2023..Power Distribution Box Cover latch dried up and latch broke off(hard to open after break). To open it used a flat screw driver and a hook puller. Together working each of the 4 corners. Cover came off. Bad design engine heat gets it. Removed from the broken latch the two main plastic pins, that were hard to initially open (cutted it both off). Saved the cover and remaing hook cover latch (2 front opening and side small securing latch). Cover used a final round zip tides. It held on very well.

My cigar lighter phone charger stopped working out of the blue. I tried both the front and central console outlets and neither works now. According to the diagrams there are cigar lighter fuses in both the glove box fuse box as well as the one in the engine. Which one is the correct one? Or do they both have to be checked? I'm an Uber driver so I have to have a functional power source for my phone. USB ports output is too weak to keep up with the amount of power the phone uses so although it lasts longer than nothing at all it eventually still runs out of power

check the both of them , but if you check first one and its burned out, replace it and check if that will fix it, if not then check the second one too. its pretty easy to replace then. also you might have some spare ones in there. check on the cover where it says spare fuse. if not then any auto parts should have some, they can also might be able to help you. have a great weekend !:)

Ok I have a question my light strip on the bottom of the headlights come on like they should, the main bulb's come on but go back off what is that?

it could be bad light bulb or connection to the light. i would first check and change the light bulb.
