This workflow was exactly what I needed Thanks! My design was for a different purpose but the workflow was the same. I wanted to make a rosette gear (like an Arri Rosette) for a camera mount I am designing. It worked out beautifully.

Brilliant. I played along at home. There were a few little things that I had to research (like making sure that when I drew the teeth profile that I was starting on the rim of the gear, not flat to the plane....this one took me ages to work out what was going on). How do you calculate the number of teeth for each gear so they mesh properly (i.e. what numbers to use in the cicular patterns )

Where is your involue, module, root fillet profile and tons of other parameters, equations etc? Maybe it looks like a bevel gear but unfortunately in real life it has not much to do it. It’s for artistic or illustrations purposes only.
